The woman who accused Jay-Z of sexually assaulting her when she was just 13 years old has been caught on tape admitting that the incident never happened.

The anonymous accuser, who filed to withdraw the case in February, claimed her lawyer Tony Buzbee "pushed" her to sue the rapper.

Jay-Z has since filed a counter lawsuit against Tony Buzbee, claiming he and his wife, Beyonce, received death threats following the "malicious and fictitious" lawsuit.

Jay-Z's anonymous accuser has been caught on an audio recording walking back claims that the rapper raped her as a minor.

Jane Doe filed a lawsuit through attorney Tony Buzbee in December, alleging Jay-Z and Diddy sexually assaulted her at a 2000 MTV VMAs party when she was 13, but filed to withdraw the case in February.

In an audio recording by private investigators and obtained by ABC News, she admits that the alleged incident never happened.

"He was just there, but he didn't have anything to do with any sexual acts towards you?" the private investigator asked.

"Yeah," Jane Doe replied. When asked why she accused the "Empire State of Mind" rapper, she said that Buzbee "pushed" her to sue him.

In the recording, the anonymous woman states that Buzbee was "the one that kind of pushed [her] towards going forward with him, with Jay-Z."

"Buzbee did?" the investigators asked. "Yeah," the woman replied.

In a statement shared with the news outlet, Buzbee slammed Jane Doe's claims that he put her up to suing Jay-Z, calling it a "blatant lie."

"As far as the suggestion that I pushed Jane Doe to bring a case against Jay Z - That is a blatant lie that is directly contrary to all the documentary evidence," Buzbee said.

The situation looks sketchy as Buzbee also handed his recording to the news outlet, where he confronted Jane Doe with these claims. In it, she replies that she never actually took back her accusations against Jay-Z.

According to TMZ, he slammed the audio recording, saying that Jane Doe was "tricked" and "harassed" by the private investigators.

"The tape is a fraud," he said. "They tormented and harassed and tricked that poor woman and took what she said out of context and secretly recorded her. She stands by her claim that Jay-Z assaulted her. She has never wavered on that point once."

Reports that private investigators started digging into the case surfaced after it was withdrawn in February.

One of the said investigators, Charlotte Henderson, filed an affidavit last week stating she met with Jane Doe on February 21, 2025, in the accuser's Alabama home.

Henderson said neither Jay-Z nor his attorneys hired her to do the job, but didn't mention who, if anyone, was paying her.

Meanwhile, Jay-Z's lawyer, Alex Spiro, also spoke with the news outlet, saying the rapper hopes this will end the rise of false narratives against him as he moves to sue Buzbee and Jane Doe for defamation.

"The truth had to fully come out. This person cannot be allowed to sort of hide from the reality that this was a false accusation," Spiro said.

After Jane Doe filed to withdraw her case, Jay-Z filed a countersuit against Buzbee, detailing how the attorney's actions had affected him and his family.

In his filing, the rapper claimed he and his wife received death threats due to the "malicious and fictitious" lawsuit and that Buzbee's "public statements about me and accusations against me have caused me harm."

"People have said 'I can't wait until you join (Combs) in prison. Then later in hell,'" Jay-Z alleged in his complaint. "Other comments have accused me of being a 'satanist,' a 'trafficker,' a 'terrorist,' and a 'monster,' called me the N-word and threatened violence against me and my wife, including to 'kill' or 'execute' us."

The allegations were notably filed against Jay-Z in December, a day before the Lion King prequel "Mufasa," which starred Beyoncé and Blue Ivy, premiered in London.

Jay-Z added in his complaints that Buzbee "purposely" filed the lawsuit the day before the premiere to "put me in the position of having to choose between supporting my daughter or hiding to avoid the negative press coverage."

Besides dealing damage to his reputation, Jay-Z claimed he lost $20 million in business contracts due to the accusations, describing the ordeal as a calculated attack against him.

In court documents obtained by TMZ, he also claimed Buzbee tried to extort huge sums of money over two different allegations, one of which was the case involving Jane Doe and another that didn't make it to court.

The other case in question involved an anonymous male accuser who alleged that Jay-Z sexually assaulted him at a 2015 Beverly Hills party when he was 16 years old and had been secretly drugged by someone other than the hip-hop billionaire.

According to the news outlet, the rapper noted that Buzbee's letters for both clients demanded "something of substance" to address the "situation."

However, Jay-Z interpreted it as a demand for a lot of money "to buy their silence," calling the letters "blatant blackmail attempts."
