Savannah Chrisley has been at the forefront of the Chrisley family since her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, reported to prison to serve their combined 19-year sentence in 2023.
Since then, Savannah Chrisley has stepped up for her family, including taking care of her younger siblings, Grayson and Chloe Chrisley. During a new interview, the former pageant queen opened up about her family's dynamic and shared how recent comments have impacted them.
Savannah Chrisley Is Sad For Her Younger Sister Chloe
In an interview with PEOPLE, Savannah opened up about life with her younger sister, Chloe. For those who may be unfamiliar, Chloe, whose biological dad is Todd's oldest son, Kyle Chrisley, was adopted by Todd and his wife, Julie, amid Kyle's personal struggles.
"My heart, honestly, breaks for Chloe because Chloe has not had an easy upbringing. Her biological parents turned their backs on her from a very young age," Savannah claimed. "When my parents got custody of her, her biological father [was] completely out the picture [and] mother [was] out of the picture. That was their choice."
The reality TV star explained that her family took Chloe in at a young age after her biological mother decided to give "her away." Although Savannah is Chloe's biological niece, she sees Savannah as her sister.
According to the 27-year-old, though, when the public comments on their family structure, pointing out titles, they're only "hurting" Chloe.
Savannah Chrisley Says Her Dad Felt Guilty

Later, Savannah revealed that her father, Todd, "fought against" having Chloe refer to him as her dad, too. She explained that the now-imprisoned television personality felt "guilt" that his son's daughter saw him in that light.
"My dad felt a guilt he never should have felt, because if Chloe's biological father would've been a father, then we wouldn't be in this position. And so, Chloe struggles with that. She hates it," Savannah said.
She continued, "She hates it when people say, 'Oh, that's your aunt,' or, 'That's your grandpa.' Because that's not what she identifies with. And a child psychologist said, 'If she calls you mom, that's because you make her feel the love of a mother. You show up like a mom does. You show up like a dad does. So, if that's what she identifies with, let her call you that.'"
Savannah Chrisley Finds It Tough Raising Two Kids

In another interview, Savannah, who recently appeared in Fox's "Special Forces," discussed how challenging it's been to raise two children alone. Since her parents reported to prison, Savannah has become the legal guardian of Grayson and Chloe, and according to her, she's "struggled" trying to make things happen.
"I wasn't expecting to get two kids," she explained. "So, between that, legal expenses to fight for my parents, I am just like anyone else out here. Sure, I put a smile on my face. I look the part; I play the part. But it doesn't mean I actually am the part. You fake it till you make it. That's the world that we live in."
Savannah admitted that she's taken on new work, including real estate, podcasting, and social media influencing to make ends meet. "I do anything that comes my way," she said. "I'm no better than anyone else out here to have to struggle. And I am not lazy. I know that I have two kids to provide for, and I know I have two parents that I need to get home. So, I'll work my -ss off till the wee hours of the morning if I have to. It's just who I am."
Todd And Julie Haven't Spoken In Two Years

Todd and Julie were convicted of bank fraud, tax evasion, and conspiracy to defraud the United States in 2022. They received a combined 19-year prison sentence, which began in January 2023. Their children, Savannah and Chase Chrisley have been outspoken about how they feel the justice system wronged them.
Recently, Savannah echoed similar sentiments when she revealed that her parents haven't communicated with each other in "two years," adding that it's "been a challenge" for them as a unit.
She even slammed the prison system for making it "impossible" for her parents to connect before claiming she knew that someone was also interfering with her father's mail at his facility.
Chase Chrisley Was Arrested

Amidst all of this, Savannah's older brother, Chase, has had to deal with legal issues, too. In January 2025, the "Growing Up Chrisley" star was arrested and charged with "simple assault" after a Georgia bar employee claimed Chase slapped him multiple times in the face.
Chase posted the $10,000 bond before being released and later denied the allegations before claiming the incident had been "blown out of proportion."
"I didn't slap that dude in Atlanta," he said. "That didn't happen. If I was [going to] put my hand on somebody, I would get my money's worth. I wouldn't just get a slap."
