Amber Rose Recalls She 'Used To Hate' How Kanye West Made Her Dress

Amber Rose explained the ideas behind her controversial fashion choice during her relationship with Kanye 'Ye' West.

Amber Rose and Kanye 'Ye' West dated for two years between 2008 and 2010, after which they went their separate ways with a very messy breakup.

The model finally touched on the topic when she appeared on Shannon Sharpe's "Club Shay Shay"podcast, and she was asked for her opinion on Bianca Censori's Grammy red carpet outfit.

Rose replied: "Kanye is for sure dressing her like that. Yeah, he did the same thing to me and Kim. It's just who he is."

"He wants other men to want his woman. That's what he's into, he likes that. He likes that men are drooling over his woman. That's what he's into," the model added. She continued on the podcast, saying:

"'I used to hate it so I used to rebel when he wasn't home and go in his closet." Rose noted that she preferred living in "sweatpants, usually with some Jordans on, maybe a little dad hat or something. I'm very casual."

Ye reportedly desired that his partner be seen as the most desirable person in any room, wanting all his friends to be attracted to her. His desire reportedly stems from a need for validation, as he seeks to ensure that her appeal is universally acknowledged among those around them.

Host Shannon recounted a memorable incident involving Amber, who once wore a see-through dress during her relationship with Kanye. 

Rose reflected on that experience, admitting that she cried while arguing with him about the outfit. She claims to have expressed her reluctance to wear it even as he insisted it was a fashion statement, claiming, "I'm a genius."

"I was in like Italy or Paris or something, and I remember crying and arguing with him and being like I don't f-cking want to wear this sh-t, I don't wanna wear it."

Despite her reservations, she ultimately wore the dress, only to face harsh criticism online. Amber stated she would not choose to wear a similar outfit again, as she is older now and, most importantly, a mother.

Rose also shared her experiences from her relationship with Ye on the Just B With Bethenny Frankel podcast, describing how it transformed her into a 'sexy' persona, which felt foreign to her true self.

According to Daily Mail, she explained that she entered the public eye through the relationship at the age of 24, influenced by Ye's fashion sense and his desire for her to dress provocatively. 

Although she complied during that time, she later realized that this image lingered even after their breakup, creating expectations for her future endeavors. 

She recounted instances where producers pushed her to embody that seductive image, suggesting scenarios like appearing in a bikini with a martini for an MTV video.

Amber expressed her discomfort with the portrayal, stating, "I'm so not her," highlighting the disconnect between her true identity and the persona she was expected to maintain.

Like Rose, Censori also reportedly displayed some resistance before she walked the awards red carpet. Ye and his wife, Censori, reportedly exchanged words right before the camera went off on both of them.

As expected, The Blast noted that the rapper and Censori created quite a sensation when she arrived enveloped in a coat, only to unveil a sheer dress with no underwear or bra underneath.

After posing for photographs, the couple left abruptly, skipping the award ceremony in favor of a waiting vehicle. 

Close by, actress Riley Mae Lewis observed the couple and noted that Censori seemed hesitant about the whole situation, suggesting she might not have been entirely supportive of the scandal the rapper aimed to provoke on the red carpet. Lewis mentioned that it appeared they were arguing, adding:

"The energy between the two seemed off, and a lot of people on the carpet thought the exact same thing. It makes me concerned for what their relationship is like behind the scenes."

She noted that the Yeezy architect did not look like she wanted to be there, and Ye looked like he loved the attention, knowing the publicity it would bring him later.

Ye's relationship with Censori often comes under the public lens, and the Grammy red carpet outing was no different. The brief stunt prompted fans to wonder how he was comfortable with his wife showing off so much.

However, body language expert Judi James provided insights into their controversial appearance, noting that Censori initially exuded confidence and a sense of superiority while covered by her coat.

The tone soon changed as soon as she removed it. She began showing signs of "suppressed fear." James also observed that her glance at Ye before unveiling herself hinted at tension, suggesting that the nervousness led her to break from her usual poise, as she was caught laughing at one point.
