Trevor Ariza has asked that the terms and conditions of his and his ex-wife Bree Anderson's child custody agreement be adjusted.

The former NBA star noted that his estranged partner is not duly involved in raising their child and has maintained inconsistent contact with him over the years.

The former Laker star claimed his ex-wife, Bree, only texts and calls their 14-year-old son occasionally. According to court documents, Trevor has now requested that the current joint legal and physical custody agreement be modified to grant him full custody.

He stated that his son feels more comfortable around him, revealing that the "other parent has not complied with a court order and does not pick the child up on ordered days."

Trevor emphasized that he meets his child's needs, providing food, shelter, clothing, education, and medical care. He noted that the child has no relationship with his former wife.

Per In Touch, Trevor mentioned that the child has been living with him for over a year, while the mother has maintained little contact.

The Athlete Declared His Financial Information During Their Divorce Battle

During their divorce proceedings, Trevor asserted that his income had significantly decreased since his time in the NBA.

He mentioned that he was focused on reducing his overhead costs now that he no longer earns approximately $192,000 monthly. Following an 18-year career in professional basketball, he is no longer active as a player.

"The last team I played for was the Los Angeles Lakers for the 2021-2022 NBA season. I no longer earn any wages or endorsement income," Trevor said in 2023.

Trevor declared his financial portfolio in court documents, stating that he had approximately $438,278 in cash, $1.9 million invested in stocks and bonds, and an additional $6 million tied up in real estate.

The Former Small Forward's Ex-Wife Demanded $250,000 In Legal Fees Support

In 2022, The Blast reported that Bree requested a massive sum of $250,000 from the athlete to settle her legal fees. Justifying her request for financial backing, she argued that a substantial fiscal difference exists between her and the basketballer.

In addition to this, Bree claimed she has also been a stay-at-home mother to their two young children while her estranged husband maintained control of their family assets and accounts.

She accused Trevor of refusing to disclose any information about their finances and weaponizing his position to control her during their marriage and after their split.

Bree explained that her former husband agreed she would not work and chose to be the sole provider, which explains her financial situation.

She disclosed that it has been difficult to keep up with her standard of living due to the crushing fees of upkeep and legal counsel. She accused the pro basketballer of deliberately refusing to cooperate in the process.

"I am struggling to make ends meet while Trevor has continued to live the lavish lifestyle and just purchased his new girlfriend a brand-new Mercedes Benz," Bree acknowledged.

Another highlight of the nasty divorce battle was when the former basketballer filed a request for a TRO against Bree. As shared by The Blast in 2023, Trevor claimed Bree became enraged after his new romantic partner had called him in 2020 and then proceeded to attack him.

"Bree grabbed me by my hair and violently ripped a dreadlock right out of my scalp. Bree almost entirely ripped a second dreadlock out of my scalp as well. This second dreadlock was left dangling from my scalp by a few hairs," Trevor disclosed.

He explained that the incident happened AFTER she nearly caused a road accident. Trevor noted that Bree, in a fit of jealousy, attempted to steer the car off the road.

As she leaned toward the driver's seat, she forcefully yanked the steering wheel with her right hand toward the passenger side. This reckless action nearly caused him to lose complete control of the vehicle, causing it to veer abruptly across two lanes of traffic to the right.
