Did Julia Fox Copy Bianca Censori's Nude Dress To Impress Kanye West?

In between his marriages to Kim Kardashian and Bianca Censori, Kanye West had a brief fling with model Julia Fox.

The 35-year-old model showed up to the Oscars after party wearing a sheer dress that looked pretty close to the one that Censori wore when she pulled that infamous Grammys stunt earlier this year. Although Fox didn't shut down the red carpet, fans can't help but wonder if she was trying to get the attention of everyone... or just her ex?

It’s unclear when exactly they first got together, but the Italian model and the Yeezy founder’s relationship first began around New Year’s Eve in 2021 and ended only a few months later.

Although their relationship was short-lived, they were photographed together frequently as they attended various events, particularly during Paris Fashion Week.

Fox released a few details about their relationship in her 2023 memoir, “Down the Drain,” but made it clear that she felt like she was just “used as a pawn” to get back at his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.

On Sunday, Fox attended the Vanity Fair Oscars party wearing a nude-colored sheer dress that looks an awful lot like the one Bianca Censori wore at the Grammys. She wore long hair extensions that were strategically placed to hide her naughty bits but left her chest mostly exposed.

Although Fox’s look was definitely the boldest, it’s important to note that a lot of celebrities decided to step out in sheer dresses on Sunday. Doja Cat, Olivia Wilde, and Kylie Jenner were only a few of the A-list stars who decided that sheer is the new trending fashion statement.

Lorynn Divita, a professor of apparel design and merchandising and the author of the book "Fashion Forecasting," previously told USA Today that the sheer look is not here to stay, despite the headline-grabbing controversy it may attract.

"Eventually, people will get tired, and the cycle will change,” she explained.

Shira Tarrant, a women’s, gender, and sexuality studies professor and the author of "The Pornography Industry: What Everyone Needs to Know," previously told the publication that context is important when considering why someone wants to wear see-through fabric.

“This juxtaposition of a fully dressed man and an undressed, naked woman replicates very old tropes in pop culture that have been around for decades,” Tarrant explained. “And that does speak to power. It speaks to bodies and whose body is available for public consumption, who gets to be clothed, who doesn't get to be clothed."

Although the dress does look an awful lot like the one Bianca Censori wore to the Grammys, it seems doubtful that Julia Fox is trying to get Kanye West’s attention, given what she wrote about him in her book.

In her memoir, she explains that he frequently criticized her friends, told her she needed to get a boob job, hated the “sexy flight attendant outfit” she wore while shooting a Supreme ad with Harmony Korine, and refused to sign a NDA that her friends were allegedly forced to sign in order to prevent them from talking about their relationship to the press.

Ahead of her book's release, Fox told the Los Angeles Times, "I'm not signing a f-cking NDA just on principle. I never have, and I never will—unless it's a professional opportunity, then sure."

Just before Valentine’s Day, reports surfaced that the two were heading toward a quick divorce after their quiet wedding in December 2022. On February 13, theDaily Mail reported that they planned to head their separate ways despite his tweeting that he had “dominion” over his wife before he deleted his X account.

A few hours later, the couple’s longtime rep Milo Yiannopoulos told The Hollywood Reporter that the rumors weren’t true and the couple was doing just fine.

“Ye and Bianca are in Los Angeles, about to enjoy Valentine’s Day together. Announcements about their private life will come from them directly, not unsourced rumors in the tabloid press,” he stated. “Is this the fifth or is it the sixth time the press has wrongly reported that Ye and Bianca are separating? I’ve lost track.”

It’s not clear if they are still in the process of divorcing, but a source told OK! Magazine that another divorce is Ye’s “worst nightmare.”

“Bianca is talking to attorneys and telling pals her marriage to Kanye is all but over,” the insider shared. “Friends say he’s trying everything to change her mind about the divorce and that he’s panicking she’s made up her mind.”

“His ego cannot handle rejection,” the source continued. “Maybe she’ll endure this for a little longer for the right reward, but it’s obvious Kanye sees the writing on the wall.”

Although fans continue to speculate why Julia Fox wore that sheer dress, the idea that Kanye West's ego can't handle rejection is not up for debate.
