Kristin Davis Admits 'Embarrassing' Truth About Relationship With Alec Baldwin

Kristin Davis is opening up about her past romance with Alec Baldwin, specifically the unexpected reason she was hesitant to call it quits.

During the February 27 episode of "Literally! with Rob Lowe," Kristin Davis reflected on dating Alec Baldwin in the early 2000s and confessed that one major perk of the relationship made her second-guess ending things.

“One of the best things about Alec Baldwin when I dated him was that he had the most incredible house in Amagansett,” Davis admitted on the podcast with a laugh.

She went on to reveal that she even shared her dilemma with her "Sex and the City" co-star Sarah Jessica Parker.

“I remember I was at work and I was like, ‘Sarah Jessica, I don’t know if it’s going to work out with Alec and I but I just really love that house,’” Davis recalled. “Which is literally like one of the only times I have felt that way. You know? I don’t want to break up with this person because I like his house. It’s so embarrassing to say that out loud, but it’s true.”

Baldwin, now 66, purchased the historic 10,000-square-foot Amagansett home in 1996, a property originally built in 1740. His love for the home was well-documented. After listing it for sale in 2022, he shared a video tour in 2024, reminiscing, “I fell in love with this place the moment I came here.”

Davis’ revelation about Baldwin came after Lowe asked her about a different ex, an unidentified actor who once ghosted her after she loaned him money in the ’90s. The "And Just Like That…" star quickly clarified that Baldwin was not the culprit.

“He was so rich by the time [we dated],” Davis explained, referencing Baldwin’s early career success in films like "Beetlejuice."

However, when pressed about the mystery man who disappeared after borrowing money, Davis refused to name names.

“I’m not gonna tell you that name,” she said. “I feel so bad that I told that story, Rob. Because now [the unnamed man] is a con-artist, he was an out-of-work actor, people. I can’t name the name. I’ll tell you the next time I see you.”

Davis had previously shared the ghosting story on the January 20 episode of her "Are You a Charlotte?" podcast, revealing she loaned the actor around $5,000, something she now considers a “horrible mistake.”

“Anyone listening, do not lend anyone money that you are dating. Okay? Do not do it!” she warned. “It doesn’t end well.”

While reflecting on her past romances, Davis also opened up about her current dating life, or lack thereof.

In her recent PEOPLE cover story, she admitted that finding love hasn’t been a priority for her as a single mom to her two children, Gemma Rose, 13, and Wilson, 7. “Dating’s tough as a single mom. My friends feel that I should be dating, because life is short,” she said.

According to Davis, Parker even tried to take matters into her own hands by suggesting she create a dating app profile for her longtime friend. “Sarah Jessica was going to put me on a dating app. I’m like, ‘Sarah Jessica, I will kill you.’ I was like, ‘Do not!’” Davis recalled.

While she’s not opposed to finding love, Davis admitted that actively dating just isn’t a priority right now.

"I just don’t meet that many people, I guess. And I’m super focused on the kids and it’s hard to date with the kids. I’ve tried. I mean, it’s tough,” she shared. “It’s not like I’m not open to it. I just don’t, I’m not actively pursuing it. Let’s put it that way. But you kind of, at some point, I guess you have to do [it].”

For now, it seems Davis is more focused on family than romance, though she’ll always have fond (and slightly embarrassing) memories of Baldwin’s Amagansett dream home.
