Kanye West continues to stir controversy on X, formerly known as Twitter, and has made another declaration about the social media platform.

The controversial rapper sparked backlash earlier this month following his foul-mouthed antisemitic rants and profession of love for Adolf Hitler.

This led to his account being deactivated for a few days, though he returned soon after and said he was no longer a Nazi.

Kanye West Says He 'Quit Twitter'

On Monday night, Kanye took to his X account and posted the following, "I quit Twitter for now. They just deleted my last tweet. Jordan leaving the NBA."

Although the tweet the "Carnival" rapper referred to was uncertain, a fan shared the deleted tweet in response to his post.

The fan posted a screenshot of the seemingly deleted tweet, in which Kanye posted, "If people woke I'm must be sleep Wake me up when y'all done with all this f-ggo sh-t."

Unsurprisingly, Kanye's post about leaving X generated wide-ranging reactions from fans, with some wondering if he would keep his word while others advised him to do better.

One fan shared a quote from the late comic book writer and editor, Stan Lee, that says, "With great power comes great responsibility."

The fan added, "Freedom of expression is important, but words carry weight, especially from influential voices. The platform isn't silencing; it's setting boundaries that we all need to respect."

Another fan, seemingly tired of Kanye's antics, wrote, "He is back again."

A third person countered Kanye's suggestion that his tweet was deleted by writing, "Elon [Musk] doesn't delete tweets."

Another fan advised the rapper, saying, "Stop making provocative statements, including antisemitic comments, which are leading to public backlash and professional repercussions like the terminattion of your partnership with Adidas."

Kanye's post about quitting X comes a few days after he made a U-turn on his previous statements about being a Nazi.

Earlier in February, the "Jesus Walks" rapper provoked many online with his antisemitic tirade, including statements like "I love Hitler, now what b-tches," and "I'm a Nazi."

He also asked his followers to call him "Yadolf Yitler," before praising Hitler by saying, "Hitler was sooooo fresh."

Those statements led to the temporary deactivation of Kanye's X account, but he returned a few days later.

The music producer stunned many after his return when he said he was no longer a Nazi.

Kanye posted, "After further reflection I've come to the realization that I'm not a Nazi."

Concerns About Kanye's Health

Many of Kanye West's fans are concerned by his erratic social media behavior. They struggle to defend his antics but continue to pray he will begin to act right.

Those fans' worries escalated last week after it was reported that he had returned to his old habits of using nitrous oxide.

The musician made headlines last year after a former employee accused his dentist, Thomas P. Connelly, of getting him hooked on nitrous oxide despite the self-destructive consequences it would have on the "College Dropout" crooner.

An insider recently claimed that Kanye relapsed after returning to Los Angeles from his overseas trip.

They told the New York Post, "When he [Kanye] got back to LA he got dental work again and I think that's when he relapsed."

Another source suggested the rapper's addiction could be the reason for his recent social media antics. They said, "The nitrous took over in Los Angeles. After the Grammy party [on Feb. 2], he met people and it kind of escalated to things that he never does anymore when he's in Japan."

Another insider shared more information about Kanye West's use of nitrous oxide, claiming he uses it as a "medication."

They revealed, "There is an issue with nitrous and his dentist, and the medication leads to this meltdown."

According to the third source, Kanye acts "crazy" after inhaling nitrous oxide. However, he continues taking it because  he just "wants to be able to do anything he wants."

They explained further, "It's as if thoughts are coming to him and he speaks his mind. It's like a cultural Tourettes experience, his entire life is a video game."

In addition to the financial costs of Kanye's nitrous oxide addiction, his mental health was also at risk.

The insider shared, "His memory is so messed up [at] this point. You can kind of just convince [Kanye] of things and he doesn't really fact check them. You can just say something that is not true, but if you say it with enough conviction at the right time, he'll believe it."
