During Monday’s episode of the podcast, which Fishel co-hosts alongside Rider Strong and Will Friedle, tensions flared when Fishel directly asked Ward, “Do you hate us?”

Ward, now an actress and content creator on OnlyFans, quickly denied any ill will, responding, “No, I do not hate you. I think that you hate me because you wouldn’t speak to me on 'Girl Meets World,' and that was hurtful.”

Ward revealed she discovered Fishel had unfriended her on Facebook in 2013 when she attempted to send her a message, but Fishel countered, saying she rarely uses Facebook and only came across Ward’s message in 2022, right around the time she reached out to invite Ward onto the podcast.

However, Ward found the timing suspicious, calling it “disingenuous,” particularly given the way she felt ignored during her time on "Girl Meets World."

“You had an attitude about it. There was some beef between us, and I didn’t get it,” Ward said. “I didn’t know if you thought I was trying to steal attention. I was genuinely confused why we wouldn’t be good.”

Fishel denied holding any resentment, explaining that working on "Girl Meets World" from 2014 to 2017 was a vastly different experience from the original series.

“Let’s put it this way, the memories we have of the fun set of 'Boy Meets World' were not the memories of the fun set of 'Girl Meets World,'” she admitted.

Fishel also confronted Ward about her past comments regarding the "Pod Meets World" podcast, pointing out that Ward frequently speaks negatively about the cast whenever the show is in the news. Ward pushed back, stating that she doesn’t listen to the podcast regularly but feels the hosts focus too much on negativity.

Fishel refuted the claim, explaining, “The same way you wrote your book about your experiences doesn’t mean that they’re negative. They’re just experiences.”

Ward then accused Fishel, Strong, and Friedle of using her appearance for ratings, claiming she felt “grilled” during the discussion.

Despite the fiery debate, the episode ended on a more amicable note, with Fishel assuring Ward that she does not “hate” her and that they would “gladly have her back” on the podcast for future discussions about "Boy Meets World."

Ward, who played Rachel McGuire during the show’s final two seasons, joined the sitcom in 1998 and remained until its conclusion in 2000. Fishel, who portrayed Topanga Lawrence, was a mainstay from 1993 to 2000 before reprising her role in "Girl Meets World."

Danielle Fishel recently celebrated a major milestone in her breast cancer journey, but the road to recovery hasn’t been without challenges. Last month, the "Boy Meets World" star revealed that while she has officially completed radiation treatment, she is now dealing with painful side effects.

On the January 13 episode of "Pod Meets World," Fishel gave listeners an update on her health. “I just wanted to give everyone an update because I've kept you guys all abreast,” she quipped before announcing, “I am officially done with radiation.” The news was met with cheers from her co-hosts, but Fishel quickly acknowledged that her journey is far from over.

While she’s finished what is considered “active cancer treatment” for ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), a diagnosis she publicly shared in August 2024, she admitted she is still feeling the lingering effects. Fishel described the toll radiation has taken on her body, likening the aftermath to a severe burn. “Physically, I have a very bad sunburn. I also have a rash on top of the sunburn, which is just great,” she said sarcastically.

While the recovery process is proving to be a challenge, Fishel remains positive, taking it one day at a time as she moves forward in her health journey.
