The "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation" star just shared life-changing news with fans, revealing that she and her fiancé, Justin May, are expecting their first child.

After years of infertility struggles and heartbreak, Sammi Giancola took to Instagram to announce her pregnancy.

Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola is going from the shore to motherhood. The "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation" star announced on Sunday that she and her fiancé, Justin May, are expecting their first child.

“We’ve been keeping a little secret.. Baby May Due August 2025,” Giancola wrote in an Instagram post, sharing her joy with fans.

She continued, opening up about her emotional journey to pregnancy, “After struggling through years of infertility, this is the absolute greatest blessing we could ever possibly ask for! We are so thrilled to finally be able to share the news of our little miracle with you all! Our hearts have never been so full of love, we can’t wait to meet you baby!”

The reality star, who got engaged to May in March 2024, shared sonogram images and an adorable beach-themed maternity shoot featuring a large teddy bear, balloons, and a sign reading, “We’ve been keeping a secret… Baby May Due August 2025.”

Giancola’s announcement quickly drew an outpouring of love from her Jersey Shore family.

“I’m crying all over again!!!! Congratulations,” Jenni “JWoww” Farley wrote in the comments.

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino also celebrated the big news, writing, “Congratulations [face holding back tears emoji].”

Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola and Justin May's paths first crossed during the early days of "Jersey Shore," when May worked as a bartender and bouncer at the famed Karma nightclub in Seaside Heights, New Jersey.

During that time, May witnessed many of the cast's memorable moments, including some of Giancola's emotional experiences. Years later, their professional acquaintance evolved into a romantic relationship, with the couple making their relationship public in November 2021.

They announced their engagement in March 2024. “Life update: Fiancé. The easiest question I’ve ever answered,” she wrote via Instagram. “Happiest & luckiest girl in the world. I’ll love you forever, and then some. Can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”

Giancola has been candid about her struggles to conceive, revealing during a September 2024 appearance on Page Six’s "Virtual Reali-Tea" podcast that she had turned to in vitro fertilization (IVF) to try to start a family.

“I’m nervous, I am so nervous,” she admitted at the time, sharing that her journey was documented on "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation." “I go through it on the show, but I was so nervous about the whole thing. … I wasn’t sure what to film. It was just a scary process in general because it’s so personal.”

She also opened up about IVF during a "Jersey Shore" reunion episode.

"I actually cannot believe how many people are suffering or going through similar situations as me," she said. "And it's kind of overwhelming, in a good way. It's helping me out. I'm learning some things from other people's experiences and maybe my experience can help other people dealing with the same thing as me."

She had frozen her eggs at 35 and had been open about her hopes of becoming a mother. However, during a November 2024 episode of "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation," Giancola revealed that she had suffered a miscarriage, making the journey even more challenging.

“This has been a very long process,” she shared on the show. “It’s been a lot of shots. It’s been a lot of hormones.”

She described getting pregnant through IVF as a “magical moment” but admitted it was “devastating” when that joy was taken away.
