Lindsay Lohan's Dad Breaks Silence On Being Set Up After Felony Assault Arrest

Lindsay Lohan's dad, Michael Lohan, is making headlines once again, but this time, he insists he is the victim.

The father of the star actress was arrested on felony assault charges after allegedly getting physical with his estranged wife, but he is claiming she is setting him up.

Michael Lohan and his ex-wife, Kate Major, have had their fair share of legal troubles over the years, so this latest incident may not be all that surprising.

Michael was arrested on Saturday in Texas on a felony assault charge listed as "continuous violence against the family." While the allegations are serious, he insists the situation is not as it seems and is pointing the finger at his estranged wife, Kate Major. Speaking out about the arrest, he stated:

"I've shut up long enough about Kate's physical, emotional and verbal abuse. She set me up. Originally she said I was stalking her! Really? Lol. Then, when that didn't work, she said, I pushed her over a chair which is a total lie."

TMZ reports that Michael is adamant he has proof to back up his side of the story, revealing that not only do his children support his claims, but he also has video evidence of Major's alleged abuse.

Michael's bond was set at $30,000 and is expected to appear in court today. With both sides telling different stories, the legal battle is just getting started.

Authorities reportedly apprehended Michael at his residence following a report of an altercation that occurred several days prior. A Harris County Sheriff's Office representative disclosed that Major was undergoing a medical examination, specifically a mammogram when she reported the incident.  

During the exam, Major told deputies that Michael had forcibly removed her from a chair at their home, resulting in pain and discomfort. A female deputy reportedly observed bruising on Major's body, prompting the arrest of Michael without resistance.

This recent incident is not an isolated event, as the couple has a history of domestic disputes. Last year, Major was arrested for violating a protection order after a public confrontation with Michael. 

Their tumultuous relationship has also seen Major arrested for driving under the influence. Furthermore, Michael was arrested in 2020 on allegations of choking and harassing Major.

Despite Michael's alleged personal problems, he knows to channel his anger to anyone who bullies his daughter. In November, The Blast reported that Michael vehemently denied rumors that Lindsay's transformation stemmed from numerous surgical procedures.  

The former Wall Street trader issued a strong statement, declaring, "Lindsay never had any plastic surgery done ever." However, he acknowledged that she has undergone "peels, fillers, and Botox."

The 64-year-old expressed his pride in his daughter's "natural" beauty, comparing it to her innate talent. He also condemned the spread of "false narratives" about celebrities undergoing cosmetic procedures, calling it "disgusting."

Before the actress's father publicly denied extensive plastic surgery rumors, a debate raged among beauty experts about her appearance. One aesthetics doctor estimated she could have spent a staggering $300,000.

Dr. Jonny Betteridge, founder of London's JB Aesthetics, reportedly outlined his theories, detailing the cosmetic changes he believed Lindsay underwent. He pointed to procedures like a facelift, upper eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty, surgical brow lift, botox, lip lifts, lip fillers, and veneers.

Dr. Betteridge was not alone in his speculation. Dr. Ramtin Kassir theorized that Lindsay may have reversed previous cosmetic work, mainly poorly administered fillers.  

However, Dr. Ari Hoschander of KH Plastic Surgery in New York City supported her father's claims, stating, "She did not have a facelift of any type. I believe she just lost a bit of weight."

After turning heads with her facial glow-up, the mother-of-one insisted that her radiant look is primarily the result of diligent skincare and a moderate approach to cosmetic treatments.

Lindsay emphasized that "taking care of my skin" is her primary focus, before admitting to the use of "laser, Morpheus, and IPL" sparingly. "I'm always interested in what else is out there, what else is coming out," she noted.

Lindsay also replied with a simple "No," to inquiries about if she had somehow discovered a "time machine" to achieve her youthful look. She reiterated that her secret lies in consistent skincare: "I just take care of my skin."

Amidst conflicting accounts, the truth about Michael Lohan's arrest and the state of his relationship with Kate Major remains to be seen.
