Inside The 35-Year-Old Rapper's Family Tree

Born on November 19, 1989, Tyga, whose real name is Michael Ray Stevenson, was born following a relationship between his father, Stevie J. Stevenson, and his late Vietnamese mom.

According to Celeb Family, the relationship began when Nguyen was just 16, but she decided to break up with Tyga's dad following cases of him being abusive towards her.

Tyga's upbringing was significantly shaped by his mother's determination to raise him alone, as his father is serving a life sentence in prison and remains estranged from him.

On the rapper's 25th birthday, his father, Stevie, expressed his regrets about being absent from his life in a letter, which Tyga chose to share on Twitter. This theme of growing up without a father is also reflected in Tyga's music, particularly in his single "Dad's Letter."

The Father-Of-One Was Nicknamed After World Famous Golfer Tiger Woods By His Mother

Tyga and his mother were inseparable. A proof of that is her tattoo on his neck and a voicemail from her on his "Black Crowns" song.

On how he earned his famous stage name, the rapper shared that his mother named him in honor of Woods, but he put a twist on the "Tiger" and went with "Tyga," which became a household name after his big break.

The lyricist began his journey to music fame in 2008 with the release of his debut album, "No Introduction." He rose to prominence in 2012 with the release of his platinum-certified album, "Careless World: Rise of the Last King."

Since then, he has recorded five more albums and collaborated with several notable artists, including Lil Wayne, Drake, and Chris Brown.

Though recognized as the only child of his parents, the artist's dad mentioned that he had six children with six different women. This means Tyga has 5 paternal half-siblings. He is reportedly also not in contact with them.

The rapper may not be talking to his dad, but he sure got his love for beautiful women from him. The father-of-one was previously married to Jordan Craig, Tristan Thompson's baby mama.

Craig and Tyga were reportedly married for just a month after tying the knot on September 6, 2010. The union was later officially dissolved in 2011.

He then went on to date model and vixen Blac Chyna. Chyna met Tyga at a tour after-party in 2011, leading to her appearance in his music video for "Rack City." The couple welcomed a son in 2012 and became engaged, but ultimately parted ways in 2014.

Tyga was also romantically involved with mogul and influencer Kylie Jenner for about three years. Kylie and Tyga's relationship allegedly began when she was just 17, sparking controversy due to her underage status.

During their time together, she appeared in her partner's music videos, "Stimulated" and "Dope'd Up," and attended numerous events alongside him. On her 18th birthday, he surprised her with a Ferrari 458 convertible.

Despite several breakups throughout their relationship, they ultimately separated for good in 2017.

RIP, Tyga's mom!
