Rihanna is praising divine intervention after her partner, A$AP Rocky, was found not guilty in a high-profile shooting case. 

This victory comes after a tense and protracted legal battle for the couple, marked by court appearances and public scrutiny. This included a symbolic Valentine's Day court date that showcased their unwavering support for one another. 

The case stemmed from a 2021 incident where A$AP Rocky was accused of firing a gun at a former friend, a charge that has now been definitively dismissed.

Moments after a jury delivered a not-guilty verdict in Rocky's shooting case, Rihanna took to social media to express her overwhelming gratitude. The music icon shared her relief and attributed the favorable legal outcome to divine intervention.

"The Glory belongs to God and God alone. THANKFUL, HUMBLED BY HIS MERCY!," the 36-year-old wrote on her Instagram Stories in all caps. 

The couple, who have been romantically linked since 2020 and share two young sons, RZA and Riot, appeared together outside the Los Angeles Courthouse following the verdict. 

Both were dressed in suits, with Rocky sporting a cream tie and Rihanna pairing hers with a bold red lip and dark sunglasses.

Photographs captured the couple holding onto each other, navigating the surrounding crowd. In another image, Rihanna is seen smiling with her hand on Rocky's shoulder, a picture of joy and relief as they walk together.

A$AP Rocky Thanks Jury After Acquittal

The rapper, who faced accusations of firing a gun at a former associate, was undoubtedly relieved by the decision. TMZ reports that inside the courtroom, as the jurors left, Rocky expressed his appreciation, saying to them, "Thank you for saving my life."

Outside the courthouse, Rocky thanked both God and told reporters that he was happy to put the entire case behind him. Rocky's lawyer, Joe Tacopina, speaking after his client left, strongly criticized the prosecution and its key witness, A$AP Relli.  

He asserted that Relli was the actual wrongdoer in the situation, accusing him of repeatedly lying under oath and urging the District Attorney to pursue charges against him.

Tacopina expressed his joy for Rocky, Rihanna, and their children, stating that the family is ready to move forward from this trial.

With the not-guilty verdict, Rocky avoided a potential 24-year prison sentence after facing two counts of assault with a semiautomatic weapon. 

Throughout the proceedings, Tacopina maintained his client's innocence, arguing that Rocky could not have shot Relli because he only carried a prop gun at the time.  

The trial was marked by tense moments, particularly during Relli's testimony, which saw heated exchanges between him and Tacopina.

Although Rocky decided not to testify in his own defense, he shouted, "Don't say!!!" when his friend, A$AP Twelvyy, was asked about the meaning of "AWGE," the name of Rocky's creative agency.

Rihanna's presence was undoubtedly a constant source of support for Rocky throughout his legal proceedings. The Grammy winner's dedication was evident in her attendance at numerous court dates, including a mainly symbolic appearance on Valentine's Day.

The Blast reported that Rihanna's support for Rocky was on full display, even amid the case's tension. Rocky arrived at court wearing a dark blue coat over a matching suit, accessorized with a black and silver striped tie on that day.  

He appeared composed and unfazed, seemingly unaffected by the situation at the time. Rihanna arrived later, dressed impeccably in an all-green ensemble.  Her demeanor, however, was noticeably different from Rocky's.  She appeared more concerned, reflecting the emotional weight of the situation.

The day before Valentine's Day, the actress arrived in a black SUV at the courthouse, accompanied by her children and security detail.Despite the rainy weather, wearing a black leather jacket, Rihanna shielded her sons from the rain with an umbrella as they entered the court premises.

Rihanna reportedly witnessed Rocky's legal team deliver their closing arguments. This court appearance also marked RZA and Riot's first time in court. 

As the family awaited the outcome of the trial, Riot sat comfortably on Rihanna's lap, looking dapper in a striking blue suit with shiny silver stripes. Throughout the proceedings, the mother-of-two occupied him with a colorful book, providing a sense of normalcy amidst the tension. 

With legal battles behind them, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky can now focus on their family and future.
