Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's home becomes a part of the never-ending Los Angeles burglary statistics.

The power couple's absence at home was reportedly taken advantage of by an intruder, although his unscheduled visit was a short one.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban may have now found a reason to hasten up on their intent to leave the US. The couple reportedly had plans to return to Australia following a tumultuous last year.

The celebrity couple have reportedly become the latest victims of a burglary wave raging through Los Angeles. Fortunately, neither of them were at home during the incident.

The couple's staff was also very present and was able to get the intruder off the property before any significant damage could be done. The unfortunate incident reportedly happened over the weekend, with the intruder attempting to take advantage of their glass window to enter the home.

The burglar took to his heels as soon as the house staff caught wind of the intruder's presence. TMZ confirmed that no arrests have been made yet, but investigations are underway.

The burglary has now added to the actress's distress after experiencing one of the most challenging years in her personal life yet. As shared by The Blast, Kidman recently lost her mother, Janelle, and had to travel back to Australia for the funeral.

She also toured the country to promote her new movie and fulfill professional obligations. The screen goddess is reportedly exhausted from all the process and is considering moving to Australia.

Of course, her beau is very involved in the plan, and all they want to do is return home. An insider added: "Nicole and Keith have had their worst year ever. They've barely spent any time together, and she's been on her own throughout some of her most distressing times."

There is growing concern about how much more stress she can endure. In light of this, her husband is also reportedly contemplating pausing his touring schedule to provide support as soon as his Las Vegas residency concludes in February.

The heartbreaking loss of her mother, Janelle, led her to return to Sydney to be with her family, including her younger sister Antonia, for the funeral. 

Janelle reportedly passed away in September, just hours before her daughter received the Best Actress award for her role in "Babygirl" at the Venice Film Festival.

The news was announced by the film's director, Halina Reijn. Upon arriving in Venice, Kidman learned of her mother's death and expressed her shock, dedicating her award to Janelle, whom she described as beautiful and brave.

She reflected on how her mother shaped her life and conveyed her gratitude for being able to honor her through Halina's words, acknowledging the painful intersection of life and art during such a difficult time.

"I am beyond grateful that I get to say her name to all of you through Halina, the collision of life and art is heartbreaking, and my heart is broken. We love you all," Reijn concluded in the speech Kidman wrote. The actress' dad passed away in September 2014 while he was on a trip to Singapore.

The actress is really serious about making some changes in her life. Last December, The Blast shared that the producer planned to reconcile with her two older children, Isabella and Connor, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Cruise.

The actress has reportedly been separated from them since her divorce from the movie star in 2001. Cruise and Kidman adopted Isabella and Connor w in 1992 and 1995, respectively, and now, all Kidman wants is to be with family with them again.

Her fresh desire for a reunion has also been fueled by the recent loss of her mother, who was reportedly unable to spend time with her grandchildren before passing away in September.

The filmmaker is making it a matter of urgency to facilitate a proper reconciliation as she cannot get past "the fact that her mother couldn't be with them all through the years due to her estrangement from them.

The duo were Janelle's first two grandchildren and were once very close. A source added that it was a deep regret for the late Janelle and her husband that they were unable to see her in person before she passed away.

Reports have indicated that Kidman's relationship with her children has faced challenges, partly due to their father's involvement in Scientology. Despite this strain, Kidman has expressed her unconditional love for them and acceptance of their choices. 

She remarked in an interview with Vanity Fair that, as adults, her children are entitled to make their own decisions, including their commitment to Scientology.

Kidman noted that she still feels nothing but love for her children despite their resolve to tow their father's path. Kidman emphasized her belief in the importance of parental love and tolerance. In her words:

"I am an example of that tolerance, and that's what I believe – that no matter what your child does, the child has love, and the child has to know there is available love, and I'm open here."
