"White Lotus" star Parker Posey has unexpectedly found herself entangled in the ongoing drama surrounding Blake Lively after a resurfaced 2016 interview went viral, sparking backlash over the actresses' treatment of journalist Kjersti Flaa.

The interview, which re-emerged in August 2024, initially made waves due to Lively’s snarky response after Flaa congratulated her on her pregnancy during a press tour for Café Society.

However, as more viewers revisited the footage, the clip gained even more attention for the uncomfortable dynamic between Blake Lively, Parker Posey, and Kjersti Flaa.

During the interview, Flaa congratulated Lively, who was pregnant at the time, but was met with an unexpected response. Lively sarcastically referenced Flaa’s own body, making an offhand remark about the journalist's "bump".

Flaa, who later revealed that she cannot conceive, admitted that the interaction was particularly painful and left her questioning her career. She told Daily Mail that she had felt so humiliated that she considered quitting journalism altogether.

While much of the criticism initially centered on Lively’s dismissive remark, Posey’s interjections throughout the interview also drew attention.

After Lively’s "bump" comment, Posey attempted to keep the joke going, playfully saying, "What about my bump?" while gesturing toward her backside.

Lively then took the moment further, responding, "You've got two nice bumps," before adding, "Lovely lady lumps, check it out."

As the conversation progressed, Posey shifted gears, abruptly asking Flaa, "Do you like the movie, are you a Woody Allen fan?" The question came across as an attempt to redirect the conversation while putting the journalist on the spot.

Things took another turn when Flaa asked about the film’s costumes, prompting Lively to push back with a pointed comment, "Everyone wants to talk about the clothes. Would they ask the men about the clothes?"

Flaa immediately responded, "I would."

Rather than continuing the discussion with the interviewer, Lively and Posey turned to each other and began talking amongst themselves, discussing what the male actors had worn, while ignoring Flaa entirely. Lively reiterated her frustration, saying, "I feel like it's women who only get the conversation."

After the video resurfaced, viewers were quick to criticize Lively and Posey’s behavior, with many arguing that the actresses deliberately excluded and dismissed the interviewer.

One user commented, "They literally pretended the interviewer doesn’t exist. This is just a 101 high school bullying tactic."

Another added, "This is a classic high school bullying method. Acting like you totally click with your bestie right in front of the ‘third wheel’ to make them feel as excluded and ostracized as possible."

The resurfaced interview has only intensified the scrutiny surrounding Blake Lively, who is currently embroiled in a legal battle with "It Ends With Us" director Justin Baldoni.

In December 2024, Lively shocked Hollywood by accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment in a lawsuit, which he has vehemently denied. Following her legal filing, The New York Times published a report that echoed Lively’s claims, further alleging that Baldoni and his publicists orchestrated a smear campaign against her.

Shortly after Lively’s lawsuit, Baldoni responded with a massive countersuit, filing a $400 million defamation claim against both Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds. In his complaint, he accused the Hollywood power couple of conspiring to destroy his reputation.

Earlier this month, Baldoni took matters further by publishing a website that his legal team claims contains all the "receipts" related to his legal battle with Lively. The move has only added fuel to the fire in what has become one of the most high-profile disputes in recent Hollywood history.

Both parties have strongly denied the allegations made against them.

Last week, Lively and Reynolds filed new claims in court, further escalating the case. During a heated hearing, Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, urged the judge to expedite proceedings, arguing that his client is "suffering greatly" from the fallout of the case.

However, Lively’s lawyer, Michael Gottlieb, pushed back against Baldoni’s claims, denying accusations that Lively was deliberately slowing down the case.

Meanwhile, Baldoni updated his own lawsuit, accusing Lively of giving The New York Times advanced access to her sexual harassment complaint before it was officially filed. The publication has denied these claims, stating that the allegations are “rife with inaccuracies.”
