Angry Taylor Swift Fans Review Bomb Eagles Player's Parents' Restaurant Over Travis Kelce Taunt

Taylor Swift fans have bombarded a restaurant owned by the mother of a Philadelphia Eagles player, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, with multiple bad reviews.

C.J. had earlier taken a swipe at the singer and Travis Kelce following his team's Super Bowl win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Despite how damaging such reviews could be for a restaurant, C.J.'s parents, Brian and Del, have revealed that they are "going to be fine."

Hours after the Philadelphia Eagles ended the possibility of the Kansas City Chiefs landing a historic three-peat, their defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson took to social media to troll Taylor Swift, who was at the game to support her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

He shared a snap of himself standing menacingly in front of the tight end during the match and added the caption, "Should've Stayed w that thick sh--t."

The statement appeared to reference on-air sports journalist Kayla Nicole, whom Kelce dated before his high-profile relationship with Swift.

Their relationship was on and off for five years before the two officially separated in 2022.

Unsurprisingly, Swift fans took offense at the remarks and chose to retaliate by dropping one-star reviews at King's Grill, the Rockledge, a restaurant owned by C.J.'s parents, Brian and Del.

Some also described the restaurant as "horrible" and "underwhelming," hoping that it would influence potential customers not to visit the restaurant.

However, the avalanche of bad reviews seemed counterproductive as it triggered an "unusual activity alert" on Yelp, which forced the site to close off the comment section.

Google also removed all recent reviews on the establishment's page after Swifties littered it with bad comments.

In response to the bad reviews, C.J.'s parents have revealed that they are unbothered about the cyber attacks on the restaurant.

"[We are] going to be fine regardless of who posts what or says anything," the footballer's mother told TMZ. "We're good."

The couple also told the outlet that the restaurant had been closed since January, which seemed to imply that the bad reviews did not have the effect Swifties intended.

They went on to share that they took ownership of a new restaurant in Cocoa, FL. called Village Bier Garten.

Apart from being trolled by C.J., Swift also faced boos from Philadelphia fans when the camera spotlighted her before the start of the game.

She reacted to the boos with a mocking side-eye glance while also expressing shock with the words, "Aww what, what's going on?" according to a lip reader analysis.

A source later hinted that the boos were spurred by a long-running grudge the Eagles have against Swift.

"It's clear to many that the Eagles fans feel she is a traitor of sorts - being from Pennsylvania and even wearing Eagles gear prior to dating him," they said, per the Daily Mail.

According to the Daily Mail, Kelce felt sad for his superstar girlfriend after she was booed at the Super Bowl.

"Travis was aware of Taylor getting booed, and he felt helpless. Seeing the look on her face got to him," a source told the outlet.

They added, "He always protects her, and it broke his heart. He was already having a tough night, and the fact that the stadium was predominantly Eagles fans didn't help."

The source also hinted that the boos were spurred by a long-running grudge the Eagles have against Swift.
