Months after Liam Payne tragically passed away, a source is coming forward, claiming the One Direction band member pressured Maya Henry into having an abortion.

According to a source who spoke to Rolling Stone, Payne allegedly forced Henry into the decision, sending her a message that left her with two stark choices.

“Liam sent Maya a long message saying it’s either get an abortion and stay with him or raise the kid alone, and he will not acknowledge either of them,” the insider claimed. “This was a surprise to Maya, because Liam wanted to have a family, and they were trying for a kid.”

While Henry reportedly agreed to terminate the pregnancy, she later alluded to the painful experience in her May 2024 novel, “Looking Forward.” The book, which she described as “inspired” by her relationship with Payne, featured a storyline that mirrored her personal struggles.

“What I went through in real life is very similar to what Mallory went through in the book,” Henry told People at the time, referencing her character. “I definitely did have some complications [following my abortion], and I did have to go to the hospital alone.”

Though she did not specify the exact timeline of the procedure, her words hinted at the emotional and physical toll it took on her.

Shortly before Payne’s untimely passing, Maya Henry had reportedly taken legal action against him. The model’s legal team confirmed that she filed a cease and desist letter, accusing Payne of repeatedly contacting her despite their split.

“Maya Henry issued a cease and desist last week to Liam Payne following the emergence of new and concerning information,” Henry’s lawyers told The Daily Mail at the time. “She has retained attorneys Marco Crawford and Daniel Cerna to represent her. At this time, that is her only comment on the matter.”

The former One Direction member, who died at the age of 31 in October 2024, succumbed to multiple traumas after falling from a third-floor hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Official reports confirmed Payne sustained severe hemorrhages in his chest, skull, and abdomen, with his cause of death listed as multiple traumas. Further investigation revealed a partial autopsy report that found “pink cocaine," a dangerous mix of methamphetamine, ketamine, and MDMA, in his system at the time of his death.

Additionally, traces of cocaine, benzodiazepine, and crack cocaine were also detected.

Authorities in Argentina have officially charged five individuals in connection with the tragic death of Liam Payne.

Argentina’s National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office has charged hotel manager Gilda Martin, receptionist Esteban Grassi, and Payne’s friend Rogelio “Roger” Nores with manslaughter. The receptionist, Grassi, was the individual who made the 911 call moments before Payne’s fatal fall.

Additionally, two more hotel employees, Braian Paiz and Ezequiel Pereyra, have been charged with supplying drugs to Payne, who had struggled with addiction and had previously sought rehabilitation for substance abuse.

The charges were announced following court appearances in mid-December, where all five individuals were interrogated as part of Argentina’s legal proceedings.

As The Blast reported, reports surfaced in December indicating that his WhatsApp messages played a crucial role in securing charges against one of the suspects.

According to Judge Laura Bruniard, the evidence against Paiz was largely based on WhatsApp exchanges between him and Payne, which allegedly proved that he sold drugs to the former One Direction star on two separate occasions, one on October 14, just two days before Payne’s fatal fall from his hotel balcony at CasaSur Palermo in Buenos Aires.

While Payne allegedly forced his ex to get an abortion, the singer and Cheryl Cole, who he began dating in 2016, welcomed a son, Bear, the following year. However, they split in July 2018 but were able to remain amicable co-parents.

Liam has spoken publicly about his love for his son, though he has also admitted that co-parenting hasn’t always been easy, especially with his busy schedule and struggles with mental health.
