With the Kansas City Chiefs making their fifth Super Bowl appearance in six seasons, veteran NFL sideline reporter Erin Andrews is pushing back against fans who are complaining about the team’s sustained success.

As the Chiefs prepare to chase NFL history by attempting to become the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowls, some fans have voiced their frustration, even calling for a boycott of Super Bowl LIX rather than watching the Chiefs face the Philadelphia Eagles again.

Erin Andrews, however, didn’t hold back in defending the teams and their accomplishments, using her "Calm Down" podcast with Charissa Thompson to fire back at critics.

“I was asked and have been asked multiple times, ‘Have you seen on Twitter that there’s hashtag boycott the Super Bowl because people don’t want to see these two teams play?’” Andrews said. “You know what’s funny? The people in the world who say, ‘You’re a girl, you don’t know much about football.’ No, you don’t know anything about football.”

Andrews urged fans to appreciate the hard work and dedication both the Chiefs and Eagles have demonstrated throughout the 2024 season, dismissing those who fail to recognize the significance of this matchup.

“If you don’t appreciate and like what these two teams have accomplished this year, what they’ve gone through this year, if you need me to lay out the storylines, you don’t know football,” she said.

Erin Andrews Tells Fans That They Are The Problem

Andrews even threw in a Taylor Swift-inspired clapback to drive home her point.

“You’re boring. You’ve got the issue. It’s you. It’s you. You’re the problem, it’s you. This Super Bowl is awesome. I don’t care if it’s a rematch. Guess what? How many times have we seen Bills-Chiefs? A ton. Patriots-Chiefs? A ton," she said. "Because they’re good. If you don’t like it, beat ‘em.”

One NFL fan said, "This is the first Super Bowl that I just would not care if I miss."

"I'm only rooting for Barkley at this point," they added. "He was robbed of MVP. No one player has made a huge impact after signing as a free agency than him, and he deserved MVP, but both the Eagles and Chiefs could win, and I could care less."

They then claimed that the "Chiefs are the most arrogant team in the NFL" and "Mahomes and Kelce are the biggest crybabies."

Meanwhile, someone else expressed, "A lot of fans of other teams out there that are jealous and upset their teams lost. Only thing I can say is... Sorry, suck it up, buttercup!"

A third claimed, "What people say they are going to do on Twitter and what they do are like light years apart. Viewership will be up; I’d bet on it. We’ll just have to suffer through the sanctimonious soliloquies of some fans tomorrow telling us how much they are NOT watching this game."

As another told others, "Please stop talking with your hands. I hate people who speak like that. Your attitude is annoying."

Another social media user wrote, "Haters are ALWAYS gonna hate, because they literally have nothing better to do."

Tensions between Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs fans continue to escalate, with Taylor Swift at the center of the latest controversy.

Last weekend, a viral image surfaced on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, showing an offensive T-shirt aimed at the pop superstar. The design, which reads “F-ck Taylor Swift,” features the Eagles’ logo replacing the letters C, Y, and W, fueling backlash across social media.

Sports writer Dov Kleiman brought attention to the controversy by sharing the image online, condemning the offensive message. “Awful: #Eagles fans have made shirts to give out cursing out Taylor Swift for the Super Bowl: ‘F-ck Taylor Swift.’ There’s no place for this in sports,” he wrote in his post.

The origin of the T-shirt remains unclear, but its circulation has sparked heated debate, with Chiefs fans and Swift supporters rallying to defend the global superstar.

Super Bowl LIX between the Chiefs and Eagles kicks off at 6:30 p.m. EST on Fox.
