President Donald Trump has revealed that he doesn't intend to deport Prince Harry from the country amid the controversy surrounding his residence status.
However, Trump took a swipe at his wife, Meghan Markle, as he accused her of being a "terrible" person.
Details of Prince Harry's visa status have been under scrutiny after admitting to previously using drugs and other substances in his 2023 memoir, "Spare."
Why Donald Trump Won't Deport Prince Harry

Trump disclosed that he wouldn't be pursuing deportation proceedings against Harry while taking a swipe at his wife, Meghan.
"I don't want to do that," Trump said on Friday, per the New York Post. "I'll leave him alone. He's got enough problems with his wife. She's terrible."
Trump's decision to spare the Duke of Sussex from deportation comes as a surprise to some, as he previously suggested last March that he could deport him.
He told GB News at the time, "We'll have to see if they know something about the drugs, and if he lied they'll have to take appropriate action."
Also, during a political conference in February, Trump claimed the Biden administration had been "too gracious" to Harry since he and Meghan relocated to California on the brink of "Megxit."
"I wouldn't protect him. He betrayed the Queen. That's unforgivable. He would be on his own if it was down to me," he told The Express at the time.
The Duke's Visa Status Came Under Scrutiny

Harry's visa status came under scrutiny after Conservative think tank the Heritage Foundation alleged that he may have concealed illegal drug use that should have denied him a U.S. visa.
These suspicions arose after the father-of-two admitted in his memoir "Spare" to using cocaine, smoking marijuana, and experimenting with magic mushrooms as a teenager.
Citing his admission in their lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security, the Heritage Foundation sought to have his visa records released as they argued that if he'd not detailed his drug use in it, his stay in the country could be rendered invalid.
The U.S. Department of State says that convictions for drug offenses can make visa applicants ineligible.

Trump's remarks come amid the royal couple's recent trip to Canada for the Invictus Games.
Meghan, who has followed Harry for four previous games, was quite the supportive partner as she adoringly stood by his side while he opened the seventh edition.
The former "Suits" actress, draped in brown, stood behind her husband while he gave the opening speech to a rousing crowd in Vancouver.
A source told the Daily Mail that the Duchess of Sussex is focused on supporting her husband and the games in the coming week.
"Her attendance underscores her support for her husband and the mission of Invictus, a cause that is deeply personal to both of them," the source said.
"While the Duchess has several exciting projects on the horizon, her family remains her top priority. As always, she and the Duke will continue to stand together in support of the causes they care about, just as they did during their visits to Colombia and Nigeria last year," they continued.
The source added, "Her focus at the Games will be on uplifting her husband, the competitors, and sharing their stories."
The Sussexes Received A Rousing Welcome

Canadians went out of their way to show the royals just how much they loved and welcomed them.
During his speech, Harry joked with the crowd, asking if anyone was tired, to which came a resounding "no" from the audience.
Their energy prompted him to laugh and say, "Well, obviously, team Canada is not tired. Everybody else had to travel halfway around the world to be here!"
Harry and Meghan are staying in the ultra-luxurious Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel after booking a £5,000-a-night suite that comes with its own private elevator and rooftop patio.
They will stay in Vancouver for three nights, after which they will head to the Whistler ski resort for the adaptive winter sports portion of the games.
Vancouver Locals 'Will Love Having' Prince Harry And Meghan

According to GB News, many Vancouver locals shared how happy they were about the couple's arrival in the country.
"I'm from Toronto where Meghan filmed 'Suits' and have been a big fan of hers. She gets a bad press, but I still like her," one local said.
"I think they do a very good job and do their best to help people," another resident said. "I know that the people of Vancouver will love having them here. I know they are not in the Royal Family anymore, but so many people like them."
