Jodie Turner-Smith & Joshua Jackson's Custody Battle Take Another Turn With Fresh Accusations

Jodie Turner-Smith and Joshua Jacksonare nowhere near done with trading accusations in their ongoing custody battle.
The actress is now accusing her estranged husband of refusing to let her spend time with their daughter, Juno Jackson, adding that he is attempting to remove her from the legal custody arrangement.
According to court documents, Jodie Turner-Smith filed for divorce from Joshua Jackson in October 2023 after four years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.

Jodie has accused her estranged husband, Joshua Jackson, of not allowing her to have custody time with their daughter while she was filming in London.
Additionally, she alleges that he attempted to strip her of legal custody last year. This information comes from a fresh declaration filed by Jodie's attorney, Laura Wasser.
In October 2023, Jodie hired Laura's firm while simultaneously filing for divorce from her husband, Joshua, 46. In Touch confirmed that the estranged couple decided to appoint a private judge to handle their case, allowing them to keep much of their proceedings out of the public eye until now.
The Model Reportedly Filed Paperwork To Get Access To Juno While She Filmed In London
In her declaration, Laura disclosed that in May 2024, she was compelled to file paperwork due to Joshua's refusal to permit Jodie to have custodial time with their child while she was on set last year.
Laura reported that Joshua responded to the custody situation by hiring a second law firm to help him pursue sole legal custody of Juno. He also reportedly filed multiple legal documents, one of which was a lengthy 12-page declaration. Jodie's attorney explained that:
"Joshua's declaration required her team to prepare evidentiary objections, request a hearing, and bring in a therapist not involved in the case and an international move-away expert as witnesses, along with submitting additional declarations from Joshua and an urgent application for sole custody of Juno."
The actress' lawyer added that she participated in more than eight hours of mediation focused on Jodie's request for custodial time with Juno, particularly for the summer and fall of 2024 while in London.
The 38-Year-Old Requested $37,000 In Monthly Child And Spousal Support From Joshua
The actress disclosed that she believes her ex-husband Joshua earns approximately $195,000 a month, based on his reported income of $2.3 million for 2022.
She herself receives an average monthly income of $87,500 but has limited savings, with only $5,000 in the bank and $366,000 in easily liquidated stocks, bonds, and property.
So far, Jodie explained that she has spent $400,000 on divorce lawyers and is requesting that Joshua be ordered to pay $28,641 a month in temporary spousal support and $8,543 in temporary child support, totaling $37,184 per month.
She also argued Joshua's claim of an L.A. home as his separate property, asserting that she contributed $800,000 for the down payment, as he allegedly lacked the funds at the time of purchase.
The Estranged Couple Were Ordered To Resolve Their Custody Issues
Before this latest development, Jodie and Joshua were instructed by a judge to discuss and come to a cordial agreement regarding the custody and visitation arrangements for their daughter.
As shared by The Blast, court documents released on January 14 required the former partners to try to reach a mutually agreeable arrangement independently.
The judge, however, added that if they are unable to come to a resolution, they must then participate in a video conference to address the matter.
Jodie and Joshua tied the knot in 2019 and welcomed Juno on April 21, 2020.

Following their legal disputes, the TV personality explained the actor demanded she vacate their marital home after their separation.
She noted that he disregarded her stake in the property purchase. Jodie reflected on how she has been managing her life during this challenging time, stating:
"I have since had to establish my residence based on where I am able to find work, more specifically, in London, UK, for the last several months."
The mother-of-one revealed that she felt compelled to accept any job opportunities available to her to provide for herself and her child.
She declared that her primary goal is to afford a home in Los Angeles and ensure a stable future for her daughter. Jodie's statement came several months after she initially declined to seek spousal support in her divorce proceedings.
