Hugh Jackman reportedly plans to "marry" his girlfriend, Sutton Foster, two years after his split from his wife Deborra-Lee Furness.
Jackman and Foster struck up a close relationship after starring together in the 2021 Broadway revival of "The Music Man." Insiders noted that their relationship was "Broadway's worst-kept secret."
Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness have yet to file for divorce, but reports suggest their relationship could get messy because they have no prenup.
Hugh Jackman 'Wants To Make Sutton Foster His Wife'
Rumors are swirling that Jackman intends to tie the knot with his girlfriend, Foster, after he finalizes his divorce from his estranged wife, Furness.
Jackman and Foster have since gone public with their romance. They shared a steamy kiss while in the car at a San Fernando In-N-Out.
Around that same period, the "Logan" actor attended Foster's performance of "Once Upon A Mattress" in Los Angeles and another time when they held hands on a date in Santa Monica.
A source has now told Sky News that Jackman is looking to make Foster his wife once he and Furness properly divorce.
"Hugh had a lot of back and forth while he was in Australia for the holidays, but ultimately, he realized how much he missed her," the insider shared. "The magic came flooding back when they reunited and ultimately marriage is the end game for these two."
"Hugh is clear he wants to make Sutton his wife," the source added.
Hugh Jackman And Deborra-Lee Furness Announced Their Split
Jackman's intentions to marry Foster come amid his ongoing split from his wife of 27 years, the mother of his two adopted children, Oscar and Ava.
The estranged couple announced in a shocking statement in September 2023 that they were ending their union. They told fans they had decided to "separate to pursue our individual growth."
"We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage," the couple said in a joint statement. "Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth."
The Actor's Relationship With Sutton Foster Caused His Split From Deborra-Lee Furness
There have been claims that Jackman's "affair" with Foster, touted as "Broadway's worst-kept secret," was what led to the end of the actor's nearly 30-year marriage with Furness.
"Sutton and Hugh's relationship is the reason Hugh and Deb got divorced," a source close to Foster told US Weekly. "A lot of people on Broadway knew, and we kept it quiet because both of them are so nice and great people. Everyone respected their privacy. But there was an affair and overlap."
Meanwhile, Foster also filed for divorce from her husband of 10 years, Ted Griffin, on October 25.
The "Bunheads" alum and Griffin share an adopted daughter, Emily, who is said to have met Jackman and reportedly calls him "Uncle Hugh."
Hugh Jackman And Deborra-Lee Furness's Divorce Could Get 'Messy'
Jackman and Furness are yet to officially file for divorce as their lack of a prenup proves to be an issue.
According to the Daily Mail, the absence of a prenup could lead to a "messy" split between the exes as they try to divide a reported $250 million fortune.
Meanwhile, sources told the news outlet that they plan to file for divorce in New York "in the next couple of weeks" and put this chapter behind them.
"One of the biggest reasons why they haven't yet filed is that they never had a prenup," a source close to Jackman shared. "When they got married, they thought it would be forever. Who doesn't? At the time, neither of them expected Hugh's career to get as enormous as it has."
The insider continued, "Because there was no prenup, and he made a fortune during their marriage, this divorce is not going to be cut and dry. It may even get messy because the stakes are high."
"A lot of moving parts need to be worked out, and there is a huge amount of money involved," they added.
Sutton Foster Attended Hugh Jackman's NYC Concert
Meanwhile, Foster is proving to be a doting partner to Jackman as she recently attended the opening night of his concert at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
The 49-year-old Broadway Star was all smiles as she exited his show alongside Jackman's longtime pal Ryan Reynolds, rocking a black sequined dress under a long chic blazer.
According to the Daily Mail, she completed the look with a silver broach, dazzling drop earrings, and black stiletto heels.
Foster wore her long dark brown hair styled in loose waves and a glamorous makeup look, which consisted of a glossy nude lip, blush, and bronzer.
