Although Kanye didn't share his reason for following only Swift, their complicated history might make one think the rapper is being sarcastic or trying to mock the singer.

The pair have a well-documented relationship that is best described as volatile. It all began at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards when Kanye interrupted Swift's acceptance speech, asserting that Beyoncé deserved the award.

This incident led to widespread criticism of West and sympathy for Swift. In 2016, Kanye released "Famous," featuring the lyric, "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that b-tch famous," reigniting tensions.

The rapper claimed Swift had approved the line, supported by a leaked phone call from his then-wife, Kim Kardashian. However, Swift refuted this, stating she didn't know about the specific lyric.

The dispute escalated, with both parties addressing it in their music and public statements. Over the years, their interactions have been marked by public apologies, reconciliations, and renewed conflicts, reflecting a complex and often contentious dynamic.

Hence, Kanye sharing that he only follows Swift on Instagram could either mean he is her true fan or just trying to reignite tensions between them.
