If anyone doubted the everlasting bond between Cheryl Hines and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., she washed away all doubts before the Senate Finance Committee.

The doting wife supported her husband with a sweet gesture before he faced the Senate Finance Committee about his bid to head the US Department of Health and Human Services.

On Wednesday, RFK Jr. got grilled about his interest in the position, given his past controversial views on vaccines. However, he bravely faced the committee, presumably thanks to Cheryl Hines supporting him every step of the way.

Nuzzi had been engaged to fellow journalist Ryan Lizza during her alleged affair with RFK Jr., but she confirmed they ended things once her infidelity surfaced. Although she admitted to the indiscretion, the politician, on the other hand, vehemently denied the cheating claims.

He stressed that he was not involved with Nuzzi romantically or sexually. At the time, Hines sparked separation rumors as she was seen without her wedding ring on multiple occasions. However, she squashed these speculations a month after the alleged infidelity surfaced.

RFK Jr. and Hines looked happier than ever as they were photographed holding hands at a friend's wedding. Given her recent PDA moment with the aspiring HHS secretary, it was clear she would remain by his side through thick and thin.

Inside Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s Senate Confirmation Hearing

Besides being Donald Trump's pick to head the US Department of Health and Human Services, RFK Jr.'s past anti-vaccine stance made him a controversial nominee. Members of the public, lawmakers, and even the politician's cousin, Caroline Kennedy, slammed him as "unqualified."

Kennedy Jr.'s troubling history was repeatedly used to criticize him during the hearing, with Sen. Ron Wyden claiming the politician was solely focused on vaccine opposition. The senator backed up his claim with evidence from RFK Jr.'s books and past statements, per The New York Post, saying:

Despite the committee's intense grilling and criticism of his past remarks, Kennedy Jr. refused to back down and defended himself as a great candidate. He stressed that he was not against vaccines and if confirmed as HHS secretary, he would do no harm.

"I have promised President Trump that if confirmed, I will do everything in my power to put the health of Americans back on track," Kennedy Jr.'s opening statements read. He continued: "And I have been greatly heartened to discover a deep level of care among members of this committee too."

"I came away from our conversations confident that we can put aside our divisions for the sake of a healthy America," RFK Jr. added. He noted President Trump wished to "Make America Healthy Again," claiming he had "genuine care" for chronic disease victims.

Following RFK Jr.'s alleged infidelity with the journalist Nuzzi, The Blast shared that Hines addressed the drama while attending the Groundlings 50th Anniversary Event in Los Angeles last October. She revealed a book was in the works, saying:

"Lots of emotions with rumors! But it will all be in my book. I'm writing a book. I've been taking notes — serious notes!"

Additionally, she claimed the cheating rumors kept her family life exciting, adding: "They're fun. I mean, if I had a boring family, it would be tough. And I think just trying to embrace the unknown instead of fighting against it, sort of trying to embrace it and just say yes to whatever comes your way."

If RFK Jr. gets confirmed as the HHS secretary, Cheryl Hines' life is bound to get more interesting.
