Legendary rapper Snoop Dogg has hit back at critics dragging him for performing at President Donald Trump's Inauguration Ball.
Hip-hop acts Snoop Dogg, Nelly, Soulja Boy, and Rick Ross faced backlash after accepting the newly elected president's invitation to perform during his inauguration festivities.
While Soulja Boy and Nelly have responded to the criticism and defended their decision to perform for Trump, Snoop Dogg has been quiet until now.
Snoop Dogg Responds To His Critics

On Sunday, Snoop Dogg posted a video on his Instagram Stories addressing the criticism against him for performing at Trump's Crypto Ball.
He began by asking his critics to focus on themselves rather than "worrying" about him.
The rapper said, "Y'all can't hate me enough for me, I love too much. Get your life right, stop worrying about mine." He added, "I'm cool, I'm together. Still a Black man. Still a hundred percent Black. I ain't going nowhere, cuh! I'm right here. Get the Crypto on Crip, though."
Afterward, Snoop Dogg faced his Black critics, saying, "We gotta learn to pick each other up instead of pulling each other down. That's what we're great at as Black people. We're great at tearing each other down. You can be up one minute and they try to pull you down the next."
He concluded, "But I'm a strong Black man. I'm cut from a different cloth. You can't tear me down. I'm one of God's children, and I'm taking the load."

Online blog The Shade Room reposted Snoop Dogg's video on its Instagram page, and many fans took turns bashing the "Bad Decisions" rapper even further.
One fan clarified that the rapper wasn't slammed for being Black but for being a "sell out." They wrote, "We ain't say you wasn't black. We said you a sell out."
Another fan commented, "Your color is NOT under fire. Your moral compass is..."
A third person trolled Snoop Dogg, writing, "Snoop: Which one of you Uncle Toms is going to perform for him first. Also Snoop: I's the one to perform for him first sir."
Another disappointed fan wrote, "You can vote for whoever you want. You can perform for whoever you want. However, if your words and your actions contradict and you flip, then people have every right to call you on it. That's life that's the trade-off."
A fifth fan added, "We not hating Snoop, we disappointed."

Fans fell out of love with the "Let It Roll" crooner after he performed at Trump's Crypto Ball, which was part of the festivities ahead of the president's inauguration on January 20.
Snoop Dogg wasn't criticized just for performing at Trump's inauguration ball but also for his past comments about the president.
The rapper was accused of being a hypocrite after he previously called out Black artists who performed at Trump's inauguration in 2017.
A former staff of former president Barack Obama shared a video of Snoop Dogg calling out the Black artists and captioned it, "Who would have guessed that Snoop Dogg would end up being one of the “Uncle Tom -ss n-ggers” he himself railed against not long ago? What a f-cking sellout."
More people joined in condemning the rapper and others who performed at Trump's ball.

Soulja was also criticized for performing for Trump, but the outspoken rapper didn't waste time in responding to those calling him out.
In a video posted on Instagram, the "Crank That" rapper admitted he was paid for his performance, mouthed multiple expletives, and called out Obama and Kamala Harris while defending himself.
He said, "They paid me a bag. Obama ain't never put no money in my f-cking pockets, n-gga. Kamala ain't never put no money in my f-cking pockets, n-gga. Trump put money in my pockets, n-gga."
Soulja Boy also wondered why he and other rappers were criticized and revealed that Trump didn't attend the Crypto Ball.
However, he said he would "go again" if Trump invited him to perform at another event.
Nelly Defends His Inauguration Ball Performance
Nelly responded to his critics during an interview with Willie D. He clarified that his performance was not a political statement but for the Office of the President of the United States.
He said, "I'm not a politician, man. You didn't see me out there on the campaign. You didn't see me out there saying you should vote for this candidate."
The "Air Force Ones" rapper added, "I'm honored to be out there performing for the Office, for the President of the United States. I'm not here to take up for Trump. I'm not here to take up for Republicans. I'm not here to take up for Democrats..."
After performing at Trump's Liberty Ball, Nelly urged the president to serve the nation well, telling Fox News Digital, "It was an honor to have performed for the highest office in the greatest nation. Now we look to the president to step up, serve, and lift us all."
