Other NFL Stars Who Have Fallen Victim To Robberies

Earlier this year, the homes of Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were also hit by thieves, joining a growing list of high-profile victims. The FBI has issued warnings to pro athletes, revealing that organized crime groups are behind many of these burglaries.

According to federal officials, the thieves often strike when their targets are on the road or attending games. However, in some alarming instances, the criminals have carried out their plans while homeowners were present, heightening concerns for safety.

"These homes are targeted for burglary due to the perception they may have high-end goods like designer handbags, jewelry, watches, and cash. While many burglaries occur while homes are unoccupied, some burglaries occur while residents are home," the FBI officials said per TMZ, late last year. "In these instances, individuals are encouraged to seek law enforcement help and avoid engaging with criminals, as they may be armed or use violence if confronted."

Patrick Mahomes Upgrades Home Security Following Burglary Scare

Last year, The Blast reported that NFL superstar Patrick Mahomes significantly upgraded his home security following a burglary incident in October. While sources confirmed the enhancements and protective measures, the exact details of the changes were not disclosed to the public.

The burglary incident also prompted Mahomes’ gated community to bolster its overall security systems, aiming to ease the concerns of its residents. This communal effort ensured a heightened sense of safety for everyone living in the area.

Shortly after the incident, Mahomes addressed the matter during a press conference. Expressing his frustration, he said, “Obviously, it's frustrating. It's disappointing. It's something you don't want to happen to anyone, but especially to yourself.”

While it remains unclear whether Mahomes and his family were home at the time of the break-in, the quarterback assured the public that additional details about the situation would be shared at a later time.
