Justin Baldoni Smiles For Photos With Fans In Maui Amid $400M Blake Lively Lawsuit

It seems that Justin Baldoni isn't getting too worked up over the competing lawsuit he and Blake Lively have exchanged over the "It Ends With Us" film set drama.

While the "Gossip Girl" star accused the director of sexual harassment and creating a smear campaign to ruin her career, he has accused her of trying to wrestle creative control of the film away from him and isolate the cast and crew with fabricated claims.

Although some pretty shocking claims and alleged text messages have spilled out into the media due to their court filings, Baldoni did not seem all too concerned as he kicked off the new year with his family on a trip to Maui.

On Saturday, Justin Baldoni was leaving a store in Maui when he was stopped by a group of fans who asked the actor for pictures. He seemed all too happy to do so as he posed for photos wearing shorts, a tee shirt, and a black baseball cap.

In one of the photos, he can be seen smiling as he poses beside a girl. He has his arm around her as he leans in for the photo, but it is clear that he does not touch her or actually make contact. Given the sexual harassment claims that Lively has made against him, it seems that he is going out of his way to maintain a squeaky-clean image in light of the lawsuit.

In her lengthy legal filing, “The Shallows” actress accused Baldoni of showing her naked photos of other women and discussing his alleged addiction to pornography. She also claims that he talked about his intimate encounters with other women and body shaming her on the set of “It Ends With Us.” She sued him for mental anguish and emotional distress.

Baldoni and his production studio, Wayfarer Studios, shot back with his own lawsuit against Lively and her husband, “Deadpool” star Ryan Reynolds. He accused Lively and her publicist, Leslie Sloane, of trying to ruin his career with a sexual harassment lawsuit. He also claims that she tried to take over control of the movie from him.

The drama surrounding the lawsuits has taken an interesting turn. Alleged text messages in Baldoni’s $400 million lawsuit claim that Lively compared herself to the “Game of Thrones” character and insisted that she had two “dragons” at her disposal – her husband and pop sensation Taylor Swift.

In the alleged text message exchange, obtained by People magazine, Baldoni told her that he “really love(d) what (she) did” with the film and said that her changes made it “so much more fun and interesting.” However, he said that he “would have felt that way without Ryan and Taylor,” hinting that they pressured him to accept her changes.

Lively’s alleged text read: "I happen to have a few dragons. For better or worse, but usually for better. Because my dragons also protect those I fight for. So really we all benefit from those gorgeous monsters of mine. [Smiley-face emoji] you will too, I can promise you."

According to the Daily Mail, a source close to the “Bad Blood” singer is “confused” as to why she was named in the court filing.

"Taylor is proud of the film because her music was featured in it, which gave her a sense of involvement, though she wasn't fully aware of the extent of the project's developments,” the insider shared.

They went on to say that her relationship with Lively is "purely a friendship, with no interest in influencing or controlling Blake's projects."

According to the source, Swift did not even intend to be at the meeting but happened to show up at her friend’s place when the meeting was going on. The insider went on to say that the pop star "finds Justin's interpretation of the encounter perplexing, and those close to her suspect she's being drawn into the situation as a means to target Blake."

"This was the first time that Taylor ever met Justin," they continued. "She had no idea who he was and Taylor was simply being polite. She was polite to him as she is to everyone she meets.”
