Wendy Williams recently shared her candid thoughts on Sean "Diddy" Combs' future ahead of his trial in May for sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
The former talk show host predicted that the embattled hip hop mogul would "go to prison for life" while clarifying she's not mentally impaired.
Wendy Williams and Sean "Diddy" Combs have had their fair share of beefs in the past, particularly in the late 1990s when the rapper allegedly got her fired from her Hot 97 radio gig.
Wendy Williams Claims Diddy Will Go To Prison 'For Life'
Williams recently shared her thoughts on the fate of embattled rapper Diddy amid his mounting legal woes.
The Bad Boy Records founder has been locked behind bars at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center after he was refused bail on several occasions.
Diddy is facing charges bordering on sex crimes and racketeering, with his trial scheduled to commence in May.
However, Williams called in to "The Breakfast Club" recently and weighed in on his chances of walking free, alongside other issues, including her health.
As the conversation progressed, Charlamagne tha God brought up the time Williams was allegedly fired from her job at New York's Hot 97 to prove that she's not impaired.
"As far as Diddy, Diddy will go to prison for life, people," she said, per Billboard. "You don't know things that I do about Diddy back in the day. And you wanna know what? It's about time, people. It is about time. Diddy done."
'Diddy Done' Goes Viral On X
Williams' little quip about Diddy being over has since gone viral on X (formerly Twitter), with many agreeing that the rapper would find it difficult to come out of his legal battles unscathed.
Several on the social media platform also used the opportunity to call for her "freedom" amid her conservatorship.
One person wrote, "Wendy Williams STILL got it! Not she said DiddyDone, and it's about time! She still knows things. #FreeWendy"
Another said, "Wendy sounds AMAZINGand I'm so glad they asked her about Diddy. She said, 'Diddydone.'"
A third person commented, "Wendy saying 'Diddydone.' She's still got it. Get her chair, a camera, and the baby mama chart NOW."
"Wendy Williams comments on Diddy being in jail, and she still got it, 'DIDDY DONE' I miss her bad," one more individual noted.
Wendy Williams And Diddy Have Had A Fractured Relationship
Williams and Diddy don't see eye to eye, particularly because he was allegedly instrumental in her being sacked from her job on Hot 97.
According to Billboard, Charlamagne mentioned their alleged squabble during an appearance on the "Flagrant" podcast, where he explained that the whole thing spiraled from Williams' claim that "Diddy was gay."
"Wendy's whole thing was, Diddy was gay," Charlamagne said. "That's why Wendy got fired from Hot 97. Wendy got fired from Hot 97 by Diddy 'cause that's when Bad Boy was smoking hot. She got fired for putting that out there."
Diddy's former bodyguard, Gene Deal, said the same thing in 2022 when he appeared in an interview on "Art of Dialogue."
"You started the conversation earlier about what did I mean about the power Puff had. With the radio stations in New York? Motherf-ckers didn't breathe hard if Puff didn't want them to. … Puff got one of the hottest DJs off of Hot 97 because she wanted to put up a picture of him getting his pants pulled down," Deal said.
He added, "Puff told Hot 97 if they didn't get rid of her before he got back in New York, that they was not going to get any music from any of his friends, any of the record label executives that was cool with him, everyone was going to boycott their station. We was out in L.A. for about three days; before we landed back in New York, Wendy Williams was in the radio station in Philly. It was over for her. She was fired."
Wendy Williams Insists She's Not 'Cognitively Impaired'
During her chat with Charlamagne, the former "Wendy Williams Show" host opened up about her health and conservatorship.
Williams noted that she's not impaired or incapacitated and is capable of making her own decisions.
"I am not cognitively impaired, but I feel like I am in prison," she said at the beginning of the interview. "I'm in New York City. … I'm in this place where the people are in their 90s and their 80s and their 70s."
It comes after a 2023 press release suggested that she was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and primary progressive aphasia.
She also told the host that her current guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, is abusing the conservatorship and controlling her money. She claims she doesn't have access to a laptop or iPad and can only make one-way calls to family and friends, who can't call her.
Williams Sparks Implies She Is Being Controlled
On Friday, January 17, Williams appeared on Don Lemon's podcast, "The Don Lemon Show," where she sparked speculations she is under the control of unidentified individuals.
In her conversation with the former CNN host, she was asked if she was "incapacitated," and she denied it but refused to share more details about her health for fear of the perceived consequences.
Lemon asked her about her health status following her guardian's November 2024 announcement that she is "cognitively impaired, permanently disabled, and legally incapacitated."
"Hell f-cking no," Williams replied, per Sportskeeda. "I don't know how much I can talk without being punished."
"My life is ridiculous. I've been with this guardian person for three years. For three years of my life… I'm isolated. I feel like I'm in prison. I can't go out. All I can do is look at the window," Williams continued.
"I'm not in a good position. My life is screwed up. You know, this guardian mess is — please, look, I am isolated. I feel like I'm in prison. I feel like, you know, they're trying to control me and everything that I do," she added.
