The widespread Pacific Palisades wildfires forced many out of their homes, but Jennie Garth and her family avoided the struggle of finding a roof over their heads.
The "Beverly Hills: 90210" recently addressed the tragic situation on Instagram, revealing her ex-husband, Peter Facinelli, provided shelter for her family. Although they had better luck than most, their good fortune did not outweigh the actress's sadness.
Jennie Garth expressed concern for everyone affected by the disaster, offering prayers to those suffering. She also praised her former beau for opening his doors in her time of need, which may not have happened if the pair had not reconciled last year.

On Thursday, January 9, Garth updated fans on her situation by sharing a video presumably filmed in her ex-husband's residence. She reflected on being forced to evacuate twice this week by the wildfires and sympathized with those whose homes were destroyed.
"I just have a deep sadness today," Garth confessed before assuring fans of her family's safety and appreciating her ex-husband's support. She revealed Facinelli sheltered her, their three daughters, her husband, Dave Abrams, and her dogs.
The TV personality also thanked firefighters, emergency responders, and volunteers for their valiant efforts to stop the wildfires and for "providing things for people who have lost everything." She reiterated her points in the post's caption, writing:
"I wanted to let you know that we are safe. Peter and his family took us in and have been so kind. I am deeply saddened for our city and just feel numb. Our home was spared, but so much to clean up."

Garth shared her plans to help her community recover from the disaster, noting she was "ready to get active to help our neighbors, friends, and fellow Angelinos." She also gave her husband a special shout-out, thanking him for the smooth transport of their belongings.
She implored fans to keep the wildfire victims in their "hearts and prayers," adding, "This will affect people differently, so reach out and offer to help; it really does mean so much. Thank you for all the love that is being sent this way."
Garth's post received sympathetic comments from fans, who sent their prayers and well-wishes. "Praise God, your house was saved. I've seen so many who weren't so lucky," someone penned. Another echoed similar sentiments, writing:
"I'm so sorry about all of this Jenny.... but I'm thankful to God you and your family are safe. I am praying diligently for all involved and affected…"

Garth did not share when her family planned to return, but it might not be soon, given the severity of the wildfires. It appeared she and her family would remain at her ex-husband's place until further notice, a favorable outcome that comes a year after their reconciliation.
The entertainer revealed she had rekindled her friendship with Facinelli on June 30, 2024, during a five-minute episode of her "I Choose Me" podcast. Garth explained that their relationship improved after they addressed their divorce on a June 11 show.
"Guys, we are officially friends now. He even unblocked me from Instagram. I've been blocked on his socials for so long that I [stopped] caring years ago. But I'm unblocked now, you guys. That's that's big news," the media personality gushed, per PEOPLE.
The Former Couple's Reconciliation Improved Their Blended Family Relationship
Garth and Facinelli's reunion marked a significant improvement for their families, with the podcaster noting they had started mixing their blended families. In addition to the three daughters they share, the "Twilight" actor welcomed a son with his fiancée, actress Lily Anne Harrison.
"He invited me to his son, Jack's, christening. And this week, get ready for it — we are all gonna be going on a boat together with the whole family," Garth gushed on the podcast episode. She also revealed her ex let her use his guest room for a fitting.
Garth and Facinelli met on the set of the 1996 TV movie "Unfinished Affair." They tied the knot five years later and appeared to have a blissful marriage until the actor filed to end their over-a-decade union. He pushed for divorce three months after the pair separated.

Two months after Garth announced her reconciliation with Facinelli, The Blast reported that she addressed her menopause struggles in an Instagram post. She revealed her physical and mental health could be better, writing:
"I'm going to be real honest with you. I've been struggling with working out recently. My travel and work schedule, my body pain, not to mention menopause is a daily minefield, both physically & mentally."
Garth shared that she was unmotivated to work out but had to force herself to stay fit. She explained that it felt like her body was fighting against her; however, she understood it was a challenge that came with age.
She also implored fans for "tips and tricks" to combat her menopause blues and received hundreds of helpful comments.
Fortunately, Jennie Garth and her family could escape the Los Angeles wildfires without significant damage.
