Zach Bryan Breaks Silence On His Breakup From Brianna LaPaglia After 'Weird Couch Warriors' Attack His Friends

Zach Bryan is done staying quiet about his breakup from Brianna "Chickenfry" LaPaglia and has plenty to say to critics.

The country music singer has mostly avoided online drama since announcing his separation from the Barstool Sports star despite her making scathing claims about their relationship. She accused him of offering her hush money and emotional abuse.

However, Zach Bryan finally broke his silence in a series of Instagram Story posts on Thursday, January 9. He called out trolls and conspiracy theorists for spinning wild tales about his life after Brianna LaPaglia and going as far as attacking his friends.

The "Something in the Orange" singer did not hesitate when clearing the air about his relationship status or thoughts about online critics and haters.

He slammed them for judging him over the ridiculous rumors claiming he had four girlfriends in two weeks. Bryan seemed more upset about these trolls attacking his friends over the false speculations, writing:

"All you f— weird couch warriors attacking and belittling my friends on the internet because you're assuming I have a girlfriend are weird as hell and should be studied for science."

"Everyone wonders why I quit touring and don't want to be attached to music anymore. Meanwhile, you're calling my friends ugly and harassing them?" he continued, stressing that he was not asking for sympathy amid his breakup from LaPaglia. Instead, Bryan drew the line when it came to his pals.

The singer warned trolls to stop acting like they knew him, declaring they would never understand him personally. He advised them to focus their attention on the wildfires raging through the Pacific Palisades and to "stop being so sad and fickle and childish through screens."

"I don't have a girlfriend and don't plan on having a girlfriend; however, I do have normal friends that I love very much and would go to the ends of the earth for," Bryan added. In another post, he stressed that he was allowed to be happy and enjoy the company of good people.

The entertainer doubled down on warning critics to leave his friends alone, noting he was happy to bear their hatred and beliefs that he was a bad person.Despite his words, Bryan confessed that each day, he lost faith in humanity and considered disappearing from the public's eye.

Bryan's rant continued in a third post where he reflected on how hard he worked for his illustrious career. He noted that whether trolls believed he deserved success wouldn't undermine his efforts. He shared his frustration over those judging him through their screens, labeling them "weird a-holes."

As for those offering him advice and sympathizing with him, Bryan declared in a separate post that he did not need people telling him to "hang in there." He stressed that he had gone through more brutal situations like war and his mother's death, adding:

"Respectfully, I don't need your unsolicited advice. I am a grown man. I promise I can get through some little bullies on the internet."

In his fifth post, Bryan reiterated that he was "terrifyingly unphased" by the false speculations about him. However, he drew the line when it involved the people he cared about. He wrapped up his IG rant on a playful note, completing the sentence of a meme so it read:

"I've been Blocked. Unblocked. Unadded. Added. Hated. But I've never had bad music taste."

Bryan's comments come two months after LaPaglia revealed she bonded with his ex-wife, Rose Madden, over their mutual terrible dating experiences. The Blast reported that she broke the news of a November 19 episode of her "BFFs" podcast, saying:

"I f—ing love her. I have never felt more seen and validated in my life, same with her. Oh my gosh, she's a great person."

Before hitting it off with Bryan's ex-wife, LaPaglia made waves by accusing the singer of offering her $12 million to stay quiet about their relationship. She claimed his team approached her and would have been paid over three years if she agreed.

Although the offer tempted her, the podcaster claimed she refused because her ex had allegedly been emotionally abusive and she feared him. "Offering millions of dollars to this apparent beautiful relationship [and] keeping it a secret speaks volumes," she argued.

"I did not accept any money. I will not accept any money. I think it's beneath me. I think that it's f—ed up," LaPaglia added. Days before dropping her scathing allegations, she revealed Bryan had blocked her and her friends on Instagram.

Although Brianna LaPaglia's allegations sparked criticism against Zach Bryan, he may not address her comments directly unless they involve his friends.
