In a recent Instagram post, Lemonada Media, the company behind Meghan's podcast "Archetypes," hinted at its return following a long hiatus.
Initially launched in August 2022, "Archetypes" aimed to unpack the stereotypes and barriers women face.
However, the show's momentum faded despite an initial splash featuring guests like Serena Williams and Mariah Carey.
By June 2023, Spotify and Archewell Audio announced the end of their partnership, with reports suggesting creative differences and unmet content expectations.
In early 2024, Meghan signed with Lemonada Media, and their latest social media post declaring "We are SO back!" suggests her podcast may return alongside other upcoming series.
The post added: "With new episodes of Fail Better, Boneheads, Pop Culture Debate Club, AND MORE coming out this week, which podcast are you excited to listen to this week?"
Royal Fans Anticipate The Return Of Meghan Markle's Podcast
Fans quickly filled the comment section of Lemonada's post, eagerly anticipating new episodes of the Duchess' show as an image hinted that the podcast could make a return.
One user commented, "I'm looking forward to seeing Meghan's new podcasts," while another shared, "I enjoyed Archetypes. I wish there was a season two."
A third user humorously added, "Our Duchess has been working hard!"
One more fan noted, "I enjoyed Archetypes. I wish there was a Season two."
Meghan Markle Was Excited To Join Lemonada Media To Continue Her 'Love Of Podcasting'
In a statement in February last year, Meghan expressed her excitement about joining Lemonada Media: "I'm proud to now be able to share that I am joining the brilliant team at Lemonada to continue my love of podcasting."
She continued, "Being able to support a female-founded company with a roster of thought-provoking and highly entertaining podcasts is a fantastic way to kick off 2024."
"Our plan to re-release 'Archetypes' so that more people can now have access to it, as well as launching a dynamic new podcast is well in the works. I'm so eager to be able to share it soon, and am overjoyed to be joining the Lemonada family," she added.
Lemonada's Jessica Cordova Kramer said she was honored to collaborate with the Duchess.
"We are beyond honored that Meghan has trusted us to help democratize access to Archetypes and that so many more people around the world will have access to the series soon," the CEO said, per the Daily Mail.
Kramer added, "Meghan's talent as host, creator, and conversationalist is unparalleled and we are thrilled to co-create a new series with her that fosters her approach to creating art that matters.
Spotify Canceled Its Contract With The Sussexes
"Archetypes" initially debuted as Spotify's No. 1 podcast in 47 countries, achieving immense success with around one million listens per episode.
However, behind-the-scenes tensions emerged between Spotify and the Sussexes' Archewell Audio, with some sources suggesting that Spotify expected more content than the couple produced.
In a joint statement, both parties confirmed their mutual decision to part ways, praising their collaboration.
However, tensions escalated when Spotify executive Bill Simmons, in a podcast episode, criticized Prince Harry and Meghan, calling them "grifters" and recounting a frustrating conversation with Prince Harry.
"The f-cking grifters. That's the podcast we should have launched with them," he said, per the Daily Mail. "I've got to get drunk one night and tell the story of the Zoom I had with Harry to try and help him with a podcast idea. It's one of my best stories."
He also expressed his disdain for Harry's continued public presence, calling it "embarrassing" and claiming that Harry offers little substance beyond complaints about his royal life.

Expressing her enthusiasm, Meghan wrote on Instagram, "I have been so excited to share this with you! I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it."
