When the rapper filed for divorce, he claimed their marriage was "irretrievably broken" with "no hope for reconciliation." Mai later alleged infidelity and described her ex-husband's "explosive outbursts," struggles with "excessive drinking," and instances of "domestic violence."

The TV personality and the rapper, who finalized their divorce in June 2024, have also been embroiled in disagreements surrounding financial responsibilities and their daughter Monaco's well-being.

Jeannie Mai has accused Jeezy of failing to fulfill several financial obligations.

According to court filings, she claimed that he did not pay daycare and schooling expenses, nor did he deposit $500,000 into an account designated for their daughter. Additionally, Mai alleged that Jeezy failed to pay $92,000 in rent over four months, did not transfer the titles of two vehicles—a 2021 Range Rover and a 2022 Ford Bronco—and owed $4,000 in tuition and childcare expenses.

Mai also noted that the delay in transferring the vehicle titles has complicated her insurance plans, adding to her frustrations. The couple's split in 2023 after two years of marriage has left their daughter Monaco at the center of contentious financial and custodial arrangements.

In response, Jeezy has vehemently denied these claims, describing them as "blatant misrepresentations" and an "attempt to mislead and delude" the court. As The Blast reported, Jeezy criticized Jeannie for disclosing sensitive details about their sealed divorce settlement and argued that she presented four questionable lease agreements without valid proof of payment.

Jeezy's legal team asserted that the lessor on the lease agreements was unreachable, and by the time legitimacy was confirmed, Jeannie had already moved on to search for another property. Jeezy also clarified that he had, in fact, opened the interest-bearing account for Monaco and deposited the $500,000 as required. He added that he was willing to cover childcare costs if provided with legitimate receipts.

Regarding the vehicle titles, Jeezy claimed that delays from the DMV were responsible for the hold-up on the Range Rover paperwork. He also stated that the 2022 Ford Bronco was ready for pickup, but Jeannie failed to collect it. Jeezy's attorney described Jeannie's actions as "wanton, reckless, misleading, and criminal" and requested the court to dismiss her petition.

As she steps into 2025, Mai is ready to embrace new people, experiences, and growth. "I want to walk into 2025 like, ‘Who are these new people God’s going to bring me? What are these new situations? How are we going to face forward with all the skills and traits that I'm proud of?’ And to listen to myself and learn new things."

For now, Jeannie Mai is unapologetically putting herself first, one celebration, one trip, and one self-care moment at a time.
