Meghan McCain didn’t hold back when sharing her thoughts on Meghan Markle’s trailer for her upcoming Netflix cooking and lifestyle series, "With Love, Meghan."

The trailer showcases Markle in an elegant kitchen, surrounded by smiling friends, whipping up dishes in an atmosphere brimming with privilege. The series will feature appearances from celebrity guests like Mindy Kaling, Roy Choi, Alice Waters, and her former "Suits" co-star, Abigail Spencer.

However, after seeing the trailer, Meghan McCain criticized the promo as “tone deaf,” pointing out the irony of Meghan Markle portraying an aristocratic lifestyle after famously stepping away from the Royal Family.

John McCain's eldest daughter went on a rant on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, slamming Markle.

"I was originally a Meghan Markle supporter, I thought she was cool, stylish and refreshing," McCain began. "Like the rest of the world my opinion changed when she disrespected the royal family. Now that she wants to be American again instead of British aristocracy what she seems to forget is Americans want real, raw, uncensored."

"All of this even in the trailer is highly curated, produced and out of touch," she continued. "There have been 2 terror attacks in 2 days, major wars raging and Americans can’t pay for groceries. We are a country in rage, uncertainty and intensity right now."

She later added that this "concept is ill advised" and she "would have told [Markle] to do a show helping bring fresh food to food deserts in low income neighborhoods."

"Do something to help people instead of your ego," the former "The View" star said. "This is why the world doesn’t like you, nothing else. Just completely and utterly tone deaf to the moment."

What Is 'With Love, Meghan'?

Netflix describes the show as an “inspiring series, produced by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, that reimagines the genre of lifestyle programming, blending practical how-to’s and candid conversation with friends, new and old."

“Meghan shares personal tips and tricks, embracing playfulness over perfection and highlights how easy it can be to create beauty, even in the unexpected," the company added. "She and her guests roll up their sleeves in the kitchen, the garden, and beyond, and invite you to do the same.”

The Duchess of Sussex has long been passionate about cooking, a love she previously shared through her now-closed lifestyle blog, The Tig. She also collaborated with the Hubb Community Kitchen on a fundraising cookbook, marking one of her first major initiatives as a member of the royal family.
