While Tom Holland and Zendaya have been one of Hollywood’s most beloved couples since their relationship became public in 2021, their red carpet appearances together have been notably rare.
Despite starring alongside each other in the "Spider-Man" trilogy, the last time fans saw the couple walk a red carpet together was at the 2021 premiere of "Spider-Man: No Way Home" in Los Angeles.
Why Doesn't Tom Holland Walk The Red Carpet With Zendaya?
In a recent interview for the January-February 2025 cover of Men's Health, Holland opened up about why he tends to skip walking the red carpet at Zendaya’s movie premieres, even though he often attends to support her behind the scenes.
“Because it’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us," Holland told Men's Health. While he didn’t go into much detail, Holland emphasized the importance of supporting Zendaya while also maintaining a sense of respect and space for her moment in the spotlight.
Inside Tom Holland's Bond With Zendaya
Holland further explained that his bond with Zendaya goes beyond their shared experiences on-screen, explaining it "is in the spirit of being able to relate with one another on something that is very, very unique."
"It's about being a little bit more organized, knowing where you want to go and there are restaurants that have little back rooms and stuff where you can have a more private night," he added. "But at the end of the day, it's no hardship. When people are recognizing you because they enjoy your work, it's a pretty wonderful thing."
Tom Holland Confronts Aggressive Paparazzi in Heated Moment to Shield Zendaya
During an October outing in New York City, Holland stepped in to protect Zendaya after aggressive paparazzi crowded around the actress. The incident unfolded when the couple arrived in a limo, and Zendaya paused to sign autographs for fans.
As the crowd of photographers became increasingly pushy, Holland quickly intervened, pulling Zendaya to safety and positioning himself as a physical barrier between her and the swarm of cameras. The couple was in town to celebrate the launch of Holland’s non-alcoholic beer brand, Bero, with Zendaya showing her support at the event.
The duo made a striking entrance in coordinated outfits—Zendaya wowed in a deep red leather Louis Vuitton dress with a plunging neckline and thigh-high slit, paired with Christian Louboutin heels and a Bulgari necklace. Holland complemented her look with a wine-colored tee, black pants, and white Prada sneakers, perfectly embodying their effortlessly chic couple style.
Tom Holland To Return As Peter Parker
Holland and Zendaya last shared the big screen in "Spider-Man: No Way Home." Holland previously revealed in October that his next appearance as Peter Parker is set to begin filming in Summer 2025, with the highly anticipated sequel expected to swing into theaters in July 2026.
In addition to their superhero reunion, both Holland and Zendaya are reportedly set to star in Christopher Nolan's upcoming adaptation of Homer’s "The Odyssey." The film, slated for a 2026 release, is also said to feature performances from Anne Hathaway and Matt Damon, according to multiple reports.
"To be perfectly honest with you, I don't know anything about it," Holland revealed on the "Dish" podcast. "I'm super excited. Everything is very, very hush-hush. I met with him, it was awesome. He kind of loosely pitched what it was and I'm sure when he's ready he'll announce what it is."
Launching A New Production Company
Holland is taking his Hollywood career to the next level by partnering with Sony Pictures under a new deal to develop films through his freshly launched production company, Billy17. Founded alongside his brother Harry Holland and producer Will South, the company marks a significant step for the "Spider-Man" star as he ventures further into filmmaking and storytelling.
Billy17 is already making waves with its debut project, an original film titled Burnt. The screenplay is being crafted by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Rodney Rothman, celebrated for his work on "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse." According to PEOPLE Magazine, Burnt is described as a “starring vehicle” for Holland, showcasing his talent in a leading role while marking a significant milestone for his production company.
