Wendy Williams Slams Her Caretakers For Leaving Her Stranded With The Wrong Car

Wendy William's family's concerns about her caretakers appear to have some merit based on a recent altercation.
The former broadcaster's loved ones have been vocal about how her court-appointed guardians and caretakers are detrimental to her well-being. Her son, Kevin Hunter Jr., has repeatedly criticized them for doing a lousy job protecting his famous mom.
Wendy Williams, who was diagnosed with aphasia and frontotemporal dementia in 2023, appeared to have similar concerns her family had about her team. She got into a heated banter with them following a rare public outing to celebrate her son's graduation from Florida International University.
Wendy Williams Clashes With Her Caretakers Over Poor Treatment
Members of the "We In Miami" podcast captured Williams' heated exchange with her caretakers on video. They shared a snippet of the incident on Instagram, showing the media personality visibly upset after her son's graduation dinner in Miami last week.
The former "Wendy Williams Show" host addressed her caretakers while seated on her mobility scooter on a busy street sidewalk. She criticized them for leaving her scooter unattended and for bringing the wrong car to pick her up from the restaurant.
"They got the wrong car, so I knocked on the door, and it was totally the wrong car. They left my scooter as they walked over there," Williams explained to the podcast crew when they asked her what happened, adding:
"Leaving my most precious, most - this cost a f—ing mint motherf—er. They just left my sh-t out there."
The Former TV Host Demanded Better Care

The podcast host explained that the incident between Williams and her caretakers occurred because of her decision to walk out of the restaurant instead of using her mobility scooter.
However, her team took the scooter outside the restaurant and allegedly abandoned it on the side of the road before moving elsewhere.
The video cut back to Williams, who did not back down from berating her caretakers. She repeatedly told them to bring the right car and park it where she could easily access it. Additionally, she demanded better care from her employees, saying:
"They're supposed to be ordering the car. That's what you're supposed to be doing. They wanna work for me. That's what they're doing. They're making money from me. Get the Godd-mn car."
The Broadcast Veteran Was Excited For Her Son's Graduation
The messy exchange with her caretakers must have dampened Williams' high spirits, as she was excited about her son's graduation. The Blast reported that she got glammed up for the event, and content creator Ronald Beasley shared the behind-the-scenes details on Instagram.
"Wendy told me it's been a whole year since she's had a new wig. She asked for a new one, and Bali in Miami made one for her. She couldn't stop talking about how much she loved the wig and how it made her feel," Beasley revealed.
The broadcast veteran also enjoyed manicure and pedicure sessions for the ceremony. She reportedly teared up while watching her son graduate from college with her family — her sister, Wanda Finnie, and her 93-year-old father, Thomas Williams Sr.
Is The National Radio Hall Of Fame Honoree In Danger?
Williams might not be receiving the best care from her court-appointed guardian and caretakers; at least, that is what her loved ones believe. Her son, Hunter Jr., stressed that she needed to be with family and not in a care facility in an Instagram update, noting:
"While I'm here, quick update on my mom. She's sober and wants to come home. We're fighting to make that happen because Isolation is killing her faster than anything else."
Williams' sister echoed similar sentiments in the Lifetime documentary "Where Is Wendy Williams?" arguing that the media personality was not well taken care of. One of the show's producers, Mark Ford, shared the same concerns, saying:
"Shouldn't there be somebody here more often? Shouldn't there be somebody filling a refrigerator and checking in on her on a daily basis?"
Wendy Williams' Court-Appointed Guardian Claimed She's 'Permanently Incapacitated'
Last month, The Blast reported that Williams' court-appointed guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, had filed shocking claims about her health. The caretaker alleged that her battle with frontotemporal dementia and primary progressive aphasia had left her "permanently incapacitated."
The entertainer was placed under guardianship in 2022 after being diagnosed with alcohol-related brain damage. Her condition became evident in 2019 following a rehabilitation program in Delray Beach, Florida. At the time, a source said:
"The doctor explained to them that Wendy was suffering from alcohol-related brain damage. They told her that her alcohol abuse had done permanent damage to the layers in her brain."
Despite the claims about her poor health, Wendy Williams looked well enough to scold her caretakers for failing to do their job.
