IT'S A BOY!!!
Shawn Johnson East and her husband, Andrew East have never been more excited to be doused with paint! The beautiful couple announced that they are expecting a boy for baby #2 on Friday, March 26. The Olympian and her hunky hubby jumped for joy as they found out the sex of the baby by the color of the paint that their family and friends sprayed on them. The duo shared the whole experience on YouTube, and Andrew admitted that he had a lot more fun than he thought was possible!
During their 20-minute-long video, Johnson said that they didn't do a gender reveal party before welcoming their 17-month-old daughter Drew Hazel. "We weren't into the whole gender reveal idea," Shawn admitted before saying that "this pregnancy is completely different."
The gymnast thanked her two friends, who put the whole thing together and worked very hard to keep Shawn and Andrew in the dark. They filled up water guns with paint, and when the moment finally came, their friends and family let loose with the blue liquid!
It seems like Shawn was equally excited that her young daughter will be a big sister as she was to find out that she will have a son. "A BOY 💙 @drewhazeleast you are going to have a BABY BROTHER!!" she excitedly captioned a fun-paint-filled photo. Andrew also shared pics of the magical event on his IG story. "Not gonna lie," he wrote, "I cried."
Johnson's millions of fans flooded her post with well-wishes and messages of congratulations. "THE BEST❤️❤️❤️," Brittany Aldean commented.
The couple announced that they were expecting their second child in January and decided to squeeze one last vacation in before the little guy arrives. Shawn and Andrew took a "babymoon," a play on honeymoon, to a beautiful Mexican resort. "Celebrating this babes 🤰 #babymoon," she wrote alongside her bumping photo.
Interestingly enough, many fans correctly guessed the sex of the baby after seeing her pics. "Calling it now, a baby boy! 💙" a follower with a keen eye wrote at the time. We can't wait to see what a great big sister their daughter Drew will be!
