A radiant Blac Chyna (White appears fine with being referred to by her stage name) sat down recently to discuss her road to sobriety, which she says hasn’t always come easy.

“In the past, when I would try to [be sober], I would relapse,” White shared, noting that it would usually occur around the four-month to six-month mark.

“This time,” she continued, “I just let it ride out. Things that would normally trigger me, I’d just cut it out – [because] you have to put yourself first.”

White tells Entertainment Tonight that she has been living a sober lifestyle for two years.

“It feels good,” she relayed. “[I feel] clear.”

Blac Chyna Gives Credit To Self-Love And ‘Eating Good’ As Aspects Of Living Sober

White, a mother of two, also acknowledged the importance of being in a better place for the well-being of others as part of her reasons for remaining sober.

“You have to put yourself first,” the 31-year-old specified, “and then, you [can] worry about the people around you. If you’re not taking care of yourself, how can you take care of [someone] else?”

To keep herself focused, White now emphasizes good exercise and good food.

“I’ve been eating good,” she says with a smile. “It [really does] work.”

Talk soon turned to White’s recent engagement to Milano, who, as reported here on The Blast, popped the question this October, one year after they began dating.

White says she had no idea what her husband-to-be had planned when he got down on one knee in front of a supportive crowd during Howard University’s Homecoming game.

“That’s why I just looked at him [silently] for a second,” she recalled.

“I forgot the crowd was there,” White continued, “and it was just me and Derrick. I had to soak it all in.”

Milano, who accompanied White to the interview, admitted how “hard” it was to keep his sweet intentions a secret.

“Everybody wants to tell Angela everything, so I [had to make] sure the people [I told could] keep it tight,” he shared.

Some of the first few to know the good news were White’s children, 8-year-old Dream, her daughter with Rob Kardashian, and 12-year-old Cairo, a son she shares with rapper Tyga.

“When I told them, they were excited,” White noted, adding, “I got good responses from them!”

A Sweet Moment With Wendy Williams Displays White’s Growth As A Person

White’s continued transformation follows her choice to convert to Christianity sometime in 2022.

Following her baptism, she deleted her OnlyFans account and reversed most of the plastic surgery she had acquired since gaining fame.

Perhaps one of the most heartwarming displays of White’s evolution was featured in the Lifetime docuseries, “Where Is Wendy Williams?,” which centered on the former talk show host as she was said to be struggling with sobriety. A statement released before its airing revealed that Williams had been diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia.

As seen in the docuseries, White makes a surprise visit to Williams’ apartment while visiting New York and warmly engages with her, which brings out moments of vulnerability in both women.

White spoke of their connection earlier this year, which first came to be through Williams repeatedly speaking negatively of her during her Hot Topic segments.

“I [eventually] did the show and while we're sitting there on the set she's like, 'Let's go to dinner tonight,’ White recalled.

“I really wanted her to see me, [so] we ordered so much food [and] had a great time.”

Time Heals All As She Continues To Rebuild With Her ‘Mama,’ Tokyo Toni

On the first anniversary of becoming sober, an emotional White was stunned when her mother, Tokyo Toni, surprised her during an appearance on The Tamron Hall Show.

Previously estranged, the two had reconnected well before the on-camera meeting, but White couldn’t help but be proud of how far the two had come in their relationship.

"I never thought I would get to this point," a tearful White expressed. "That's what mamas are for."

More recently, Toni, still as fiery as ever, went to bat for her daughter when an ex alleged that White had physically assaulted him.

“I came there, and I beat your motherf–king ass,” she claimed in a social media rant, “[and] I'll do your motherf–king ass the same motherf–king way again!”
