Bravo stars are infamous for their on-screen drama, but sometimes it spills into their personal lives, like James Kennedy's recent domestic violence incident.
The "Vanderpump Rules" alum shocked fans recently after he was arrested for allegedly attacking a woman. The incident stirred a hornet's nest of past violence claims, with his exes implying he should have been behind bars a long time ago.
New sources echoed similar sentiments if these women's claims weren't enough to cast doubt on James Kennedy's image. These insiders recently revealed the DJ was investigated for allegedly attacking women a year before his run-in with authorities.
James Kennedy Allegedly Has A History Of Violence
According to sources, Kennedy was no angel when it came to his relationship with women. They claimed a whistleblower alerted showrunners about the abuse allegations against the Bravolebrity in the fall of 2023.
The whistleblower, a production insider, shared their concerns with Evolution Media, the production company that makes the Bravo show. They dropped a long list of claims about Kennedy that had been spreading behind the scenes, hinted at publicly, or mentioned during tapings of the show.
Among these scathing allegations were claims that the music producer had attacked more than one of the women he had been intimately involved with. According to documents seen by Page Six, Bravo responded to the report by hiring an independent attorney to investigate the situation.
The Entertainer Appeared Unbothered By The Investigation

The sources told the outlet that the whistleblower was shocked when Kennedy appeared at BravoCon amid the investigation. The production insider was allegedly horrified and sickened by his unbothered nature.
Similarly, the whistleblower was disappointed by organizers who made Kennedy sing "You Can Suddenly Become The Number One Guy In The Group," a song based on a running joke about the show's pecking order. Showrunners also gave him a goofy award for "Colloquial Excellence."
The production insider might never see the results of their efforts to expose Kennedy as the outcome of the investigation remained uncertain because of Bravo.
The network shockingly fired the entire "Vanderpump Rules" cast last month, weeks before Kennedy was arrested for allegedly attacking his girlfriend, Ally Lewber.
Inside The Bravo Star's Domestic Violence Incident
Authorities took Kennedy into custody on the night of December 10 following a call about an argument between him and a woman. The Blast reported that Burbank police officers were dispatched to a home in the area after the caller claimed the DJ had grabbed the woman at one point.
However, cops did not find any visible injuries on the alleged victim, but their investigations determined it was a domestic violence incident. On that note, they arrested Kennedy for misdemeanor domestic violence, and he eventually secured his freedom after posting a $20,000 bail.
The domestic violence incident occurred hours after Kennedy and Lewber attended a holiday party at Kathy Hilton's home. At the time of the report, it was unclear if the alleged victim was the TV personality's girlfriend, as the woman's identity was not disclosed.

While many were shocked by Kennedy's arrest, his former fiancée Rachel Leviss and his ex-girlfriend Kristen Doute were unsurprised. They implied that he was guilty and should have been arrested long ago.
Doute reacted to the situation on her Instagram Story, sharing a screenshot of a news article about Kennedy's arrest. She captioned the post: "Finally." As detailed in the Bravo show, the former couple was in a tumultuous relationship between 2013 and 2015.
Leviss echoed similar sentiments to Doute through her lawyers Mark Geragos and Bryan Freedman. "This news is, unfortunately, not surprising. Rachel's lawsuit describes, in significant detail, Mr. Kennedy's long history of erratic, violent behavior and substance abuse," they shared in a statement.
James Kennedy Vows To Change Following His Arrest
Days after regaining his freedom, The Blast covered Kennedy's reaction to the incident. He broke his silence about his arrest on his Instagram Story, sharing a statement promising self-reflection and change.
"I am committed to making meaningful changes in my life. I am taking time to focus on my sobriety, personal growth, and being present for my loved ones. Navigating challenging moments is not easy," he wrote, adding:
"But I am determined to learn, grow, and move forward with the incredible support system around me."
His girlfriend, Lewber, also addressed the situation with a statement on her Instagram Story. She did not confirm or deny if she was the alleged victim but assured fans about her well-being. "I'm okay and taking the time I need right now," her message partly read.
Will James Kennedy and Ally Lewber's relationship survive the domestic violence drama?
