"I was fighting for my life," he explained. "April 11, I was having a bad headache, and I asked my boy for an aspirin… before I could get the aspirin… I went out. I don't remember 20 days."

The "Project Power" actor stated that he was on the brink of death and went into a coma for several weeks. His first appointment with a doctor saw him receive a cortisone shot, but that didn't alleviate his pain, prompting his sister, Deidra Dixon, to continue seeking medical attention for him.

Eventually, Foxx was able to decipher the problem when a doctor at Piedmont Hospital declared that he was "having a brain bleed that's led to a stroke."

"If I don't go in his head right now, we're going to lose him," the doctor said, per Fox News.

After his surgery, Foxx said that the doctor told his sister, "You were right, your prayers are answered. We didn't find where it was coming from, but he is having a stroke. He may be able to make a full recovery, but it's going to be the worst year of his life."

Foxx continued, "I was so dizzy from the stroke… 20 days, I don't remember. On May 4, I woke up. When I woke up, I found myself in a wheelchair. I couldn't walk."

Rumors were rife that Foxx, in his tapings, claimed embattled rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs is to blame for his hospitalization.

Although the actor addressed the claims, he didn't specifically mention that the "Bad Boy For Life" rapper poisoned him as rumored, only jokingly likening him to the devil.

"Your life doesn't flash before your face. It was kind of oddly peaceful. I saw the tunnel. I didn't see the light," Foxx said. "It was kind of hot in the tunnel… am I going to the wrong place? I looked at the end of the tunnel, and I thought I saw the devil… Or was that Puffy? I'm f-cking around, but if that was Puffy, he had a flaming bottle of Johnson and … no, I'm just kidding."

He then weighed in on the rumors, saying, "Internet said 'Puffy tried to kill me.' I know what you're thinking 'Diddy?'"

"Hell naw," Foxx claimed. "I left them parties early. I was out by 9:00 – something don't look right. It's slippery in here."
