La La Anthony's annual Winter Wonderland charity event brings holiday cheer to hundreds of inner-city children, offering a magical experience filled with gifts, fun, and festive spirit.
This year, the event was made even more special through a partnership with Delsym. Anthony's dedication to giving back continues to shine, creating unforgettable memories for those in need during the holiday season.
The well known and loved actress, also known to many as "Kiyan Anthony's mom," had some time to sit down with The Blast to talk about her partnership with Delsym, the charity event, her son going off to college, and what projects she has in the works.
La La Anthony Hosts 7th Annual Winter Wonderland Charity Event
For the second year in a row, Anthony has partnered with Delsym during the "most wonderful time of year" - the holiday season. This time of year is super busy for Anthony who hosts her annual Winter Wonderland Event every December, so it's not the ideal time for cough symptoms to enter the chat.
Delsym has joined in on the holiday fun with Anthony this year as a presenting sponsor for this year's event that brings holiday joy to underprivileged children. As part of the partnership, Delsym, the number one doctor recommended cough suppressant that controls coughs for 12 full hours, will be delivering more than just 12-hours of cough relief at the event with a create your own hot chocolate cart for everyone to enjoy.
"This year I'm having my 7th annual Winter Wonderland charity event, which we do in the Bronx, NY, and we give Christmas to 400 inner city kids, which is so powerful and something that I'm so passionate about," Anthony told The Blast exclusively. "I can't believe it's seven years now doing this. But Delsym has signed on as the presenting sponsor this year, which is something I'm incredibly excited about. I've worked with them in the past on their 'Bring Comfort Home' campaign, and I just love Delsym's values. They align with mine, family, bringing people together."
Partnering With Delsym For The Second Year
For Anthony, it was natural to partner with Delsym for the second year in a row.
"They are the number one doctor recommended cough suppressant for 12 hours all day, all night," Anthony said. "And with the holidays coming up, you know, it's cold and flu season, so what better than to have Delsym on board to help us with Winter Wonderland and to help keep us from getting sick."
Anthony is excited that Delsym is bringing the hot chocolate cart for the kids to the event, as well as to see the excitement on the children's faces and their energy.
"It's 400, sometimes over 400 inner city kids that come. We have performances, dance battles, we have dinner together," she said. "We give out gifts and clothing and winter coats and just a lot of amazing things for the kids."
The event takes place at Gaucho's Gym in the Bronx, which also holds a special place in Anthony's heart.
"That's the gym my son played basketball in in his beginning years of becoming a basketball player," she told The Blast. "So that gym has always been really special to us. It's a really incredible event and happy to have Delsym on board with us."
As for what it means for Delsym joining in on the Winter Wonderland fun this year, Anthony said it's important to her to give back to the community.
"It's about family. It's about togetherness. It's about comfort, which I think are all the things that Delsym believes in and stands for. So when the opportunity presented itself, I'm like, we have to do this," she said. "I've worked with them in the past, had an incredible experience, and just want to be around people that share my same views when it comes to family and giving back. To be able to step in and give some kind of help is such a great feeling."
La La Anthony's Holiday Traditions And Staying Healthy
The holiday season means cherished, festive traditions for many and Anthony is no different.
"For me, it's always just been about being around my family and bringing family together, which is something I'm always excited about with hectic work schedules and just things that happen during the year," she said. "You don't always get that time, so it's great to have family time, home-cooked meals, good food, and just good energy is definitely what I look forward to."
It can be a little more difficult to stay healthy during the holidays while traveling, shopping, and being around more people than usual, so Anthony said she keeps Delsym "on deck" just in case.
"I have a 17-year-old who doesn't care about wearing a coat when it's cold outside. He's like, 'Mom, I'm just going in the car and out of the car.' I'm like, 'Put your coat on, put your gloves on, put you hat on.' Parents of teenagers can probably relate. So I'm just that mom that's like, put on your coat, stay healthy, eat well, just take care of yourself," she said. "You know when cold and flu season comes around, if you get a nagging cough or something happens, have Delsym on deck to handle that so we've had this as a staple in our household for many, many years."
Current And Upcoming Projects
Anthony has kept busy with many different projects recently. She told The Blast that she's excited for season 4 of "BMF" and season 7 of "The Chi."
Anthony is also working on something new that she's excited about.
"Kim Kardashian and I are producing a new show on Hulu called 'Group Chat' which is based on our personal group chat, so we're in the writing phase of that and just excited to bring all of our crazy stories to TV," Anthony said.
"I think it's going to be great to have a show that speaks to women who can relate and are going through similar things."
For Anthony, when choosing her next role or project, it needs to speak to her in some way.
"A lot of it is relationships and love and complexities of love, that different women go through. A lot of the characters are strong, empowering women, and I like to think that's who I am in my real life as well," she told The Blast. "So those kinds of roles always speak to me. And just being a girl's girl, I always look at myself as having great friends and being a girl's girl, and I think that's going to really showcase in 'Group Chat.'"
Being Known To Many As 'Kiyan Anthony's Mom'

When The Blast interviewed Anthony last year, we briefly discussed her son Kiyan starting to think about colleges, and now a year later, he's chosen a college. Such a big life change has Anthony, like other parents in the same situation, in her feels.
"All the feels. It's like, in one sense, I'm so proud of him, and I love talking about it. In the other sense, it's just a reminder that he's leaving the house soon," she said. "Yesterday he was showing me how he wanted to decorate his dorm, like, 'Mom, I want to get this couch, and this and this and this.' And I'm like we're really having this conversation? I was like, wow, this is happening. I'm so excited, and you know, there's sadness there, too just because I'm gonna miss him, but excited to see him on this next journey and phase of life."
When the topic of being called "Kiyan Anthony's mom" was brought up, Anthony laughed and said she's becoming more popular as Kiyan's mom than anything else, but she's totally okay with that.
"It's Kiyan Anthony's mom," the proud mom laughed. "And by the way, I will take that title over anything any day of the year."
