Sean "Diddy" Combs and Jay-Z have sparked fresh controversy after they were accused of raping a minor in 2000 at a VMAs afterparty.

However, Jay-Z, via his Roc Nation record label, has denied the allegations, claiming that attorney Tony Buzbee only seeks to extort him via his call for "settlement."

Amid the troubling allegations, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has stoked the conversation, campaigning for the death penalty in cases involving pedophilia.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene didn't mince words in her latest post about the alleged sexual assault of a minor in 2000.

Greene, while giving her 2 cents on the accusations made against Diddy and Jay-Z, took to X to call for the death penalty for "pedophiles."

"As far as P Diddy and now Jay Z being accused of raping children, I personally believe pedophiles should receive the death penalty if found guilty," Greene (R-FL) wrote Sunday on X, formerly Twitter.

"You rape a child, you drug and forcefully rape a child, you traffic children and sell them for sex, you should face the most severe consequences," the politician added.

The tweet drew mixed reactions from internet users, with some siding with Greene. In contrast, others condemned her for bringing up the death penalty after seemingly protecting her former colleague, Matt Gaetz, who is facing similar accusations as Diddy and Jay-Z.

Jay-Z Has Denied The Claims Made In The Lawsuit

In the amended lawsuit, attorney Tony Buzbee claimed Diddy and Jay-Z took turns raping a 13-year-old girl at a party hosted by the former.

However, the "Empire State of Mind" rapper has released a statement denying the claims while also calling out the lawsuit, accusing Buzbee and his client of "blackmail."

"My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter, from a 'lawyer' named Tony Buzbee. What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle," Jay-Z said in a lengthy statement posted online. "No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion. So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!!"

Jay-Z continued, "These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whoever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case."

The hip-hop mogul said he has done "a bit of research" on Buzbee, claiming that the lawyer seems to "have a pattern of these types of theatrics."

Jay-Z labeled Buzbee a "deplorable human," adding that he is "more than prepared to deal with" his type of person.

In his statement, the "Young Forever" rapper brought up his wife and kids and how challenging the lawsuit would be for them.

"My only heartbreak is for my family," he wrote. "My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims and explain the cruelty and greed of people. I mourn yet another loss of innocence."

He added, "Children should not have to endure such at their young age. It is unfair to have to try to understand inexplicable degrees of malice meant to destroy families and [the] human spirit."

Born Shawn Corey Carter, Jay-Z shares three kids with famous singer Beyoncé: Daughter Blue Ivy Carter, 12, and twin boy and girl, Sir and Rumi Carter, 7.

In his statement, Jay-Z sent his support to "true victims in the world, who have to watch how their life story is dressed in costume for profitability by this ambulance chaser in a cheap suit."

He added that Buzbee had made "a terrible error in judgment" in assuming all celebrities were the same.

"I'm not from your world. I'm a young man who made it out of the project of Brooklyn," the rapper noted. "We don't play these types of games. We have very strict codes and honor."

"We protect children, you seem to exploit people for personal gain. Only your network of conspiracy theorists, fake physics, will believe the idiotic claims you have levied against me that, if not for the seriousness surrounding harm to kids, would be laughable. I look forward to showing you just how different I am," Jay-Z wrote.

Meanwhile, Diddy remains behind bars at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center ahead of his trial, which begins middle of next year. He's been charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

The lawsuit was filed originally in October in the Southern District of New York.

However, it did not name Jay-Z as a defendant at that time, and the amended lawsuit says that the rapper was identified as "Celebrity A" in the original complaint.

The suit alleged that the unnamed girl was drugged and raped by both Jay-Z and Diddy at a party hosted by the jailed "Finna Get Loose" rapper after the MTV music awards in 2000.

It claimed that the pair took turns raping her at the party and that she drank a drink that made her feel "woozy and lightheaded."

The alleged victim eventually escaped by hitting Combs in the neck as he assaulted her. She then reportedly ran to a petrol station, where her father picked her up.

In the lawsuit, a female celebrity, identified as "Celebrity B," was said to be in the room watching the alleged rape unfold. However, this person's true identity has yet to be unveiled.
