Halle Berry Updates Her Witness List In Custody Battle Against Ex Olivier Martinez

Halle Berry is set to face off with her ex-husband, Olivier Martinez, in December and has added new weapons to her arsenal.

The "X–Men" star recently updated her witness list, adding a new woman who will testify on her behalf about her ex's alleged poor behavior and insults. This update comes days after Martinez listed her longtime nanny as a witness for his case.

Halle Berry has discredited her former nanny and another ex-employee as Olivier Martinez's co-conspirators. She claimed these women teamed up with her former husband to make "false reports" about her. The actress and her ex are fighting to gain custody of their minor son, Maceo.

According to court documents, Berry updated her witness list by adding a woman named Ellie Montazeri. It was unclear what her relationship with the new witness was, but the woman seemed valuable to her case.

The documents claimed Montazeri would tell the court about her interactions with Berry and Martinez. She would share her observations about the actress's interactions with her son while detailing Martinez's alleged bad behavior.

In Touch reported that Montazeri would cover details such as "[Olivier's] disparagement of [Halle] and [Halle's] partner (Mr. Van Hunt), which [Olivier] has expressed in [Ellie's] presence as well as in Maceo's presence."

Before the new woman, Berry revealed her plans to call her former employee, Erica Simamora, to the stand. She noted the woman would testify about her "interactions with [Olivier] and his legal team."

The list also included Simamora's alleged conspiracy with Martinez "to interfere with Maceo's therapeutic process and Maceo's relationship with [Halle]." The former employee would also address:

"[Olivier's] interference with [Halle's] custodial rights; and [Olivier's] withholding of information from [Halle]."

The conspiracy drama, per Berry's claims, allegedly involved Simamora, Martinez, and her longtime nanny, Miryam Haziza. She claimed the trio teamed up to make "false reports" about her and ultimately destroy her image.

Earlier this week, The Blast reported that Berry and Martinez had butted heads over a request for her private information. The "Un, deux, trois, soleil" actor filed a motion demanding his ex-wife's conversations with her former nanny.

He asked for all the duo's exchanges from January to date, alongside any NDAs Haziza might have signed. The same applied to Berry's possible conversations with her ex-employee Simamora. However, the actress refused his request over the alleged conspiracy.

Berry argued that she stopped communicating with the nanny after discovering that "Ms. Haziza was conspiring with [Olivier] and Ms. Simamora without [Halle's] knowledge while in [Halle's] employ and transmitting information from [Olivier] to Ms. Simamora relating to Maceo's therapy."

Since terminating her former nanny's employment, Berry claimed the woman had continued communicating with Martinez and his counsel. However, Haziza refused to "engage in non-formal discussions with [Halle's] counsel."

Berry doubled down on refusing her ex's demands for her private conversations, stressing that the chats or any NDAs were irrelevant to their child custody case. Additionally, she slammed him for wasting her time, writing:

"Rather than focus on the requested relief, [Olivier] intends to turn this proceeding into a charade, engaging in smoke and mirrors to distract from his own conduct and this court's findings about his conduct."

When Berry and Martinez shared their witness lists with the court, The Blast reported that Van Hunt had made the cut. The actress's longtime partner was set to take the stand at the upcoming custody hearing.

Hunt would reportedly address his communications with Martinez, his "efforts to promote coparenting between the parties, and his observations regarding [Halle's] efforts to co-parent with [Olivier]."

Berry would also take the stand to share her reservations about Martinez's coparenting and her belief that his actions directly tamper with Maceo's growth. Additionally, she would have the chance to grill her ex about her claims.

Meanwhile, Martinez named Berry's longtime nanny as his witness. He noted Haziza would testify about her "observations of Maceo in [Halle's] care and Maceo's interactions with [Halle], as well as her interactions and communications with [Halle] as it relates to the minor child, this [divorce] and custody proceeding."
