Actress Sandra Bullock's infamous ex-husband, Jesse James, cannot catch a break as his legal troubles increase with a new lawsuit.
The automotive mechanic recently got slammed over a custom firearm order, which a disgruntled client claims was not created to his satisfaction. The man who placed the order is suing for a refund, a money problem James doesn't want to have.
Jesse James is embroiled in his third divorce with his estranged wife, Bonnie Rotten. She previously moved to end their marriage twice but ultimately called it off. However, both parties seem willing to break up for good over abuse allegations.
Sandra Bullock's Former Husband Sued Over Years-long Custom Project
According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff, David Chace, claimed he entered an oral agreement with James and his Jesse James Firearms Unlimited company in 2018. He contacted them for the construction and purchase of a custom-made pistol set.
Chace claimed he gave James a $5,000 deposit at the time before pausing the custom firearm project in 2020. When he initiated the production's continuation in April 2020, the plaintiff claimed he asked James to change the order to a single custom firearm instead of a pistol set.
The "Birdbox" actress's ex-husband reportedly agreed to the change but failed to deliver despite it being six years since their original agreement. Chace argued that the gun had not been developed to his satisfaction, accusing James of being "hostile and inappropriate," per TMZ.

Chace slammed James' work ethic in his documents, stressing that he had paid the company owner $75,000 to date without any positive updates. He claimed he neither had the gun nor information on when it would be completed or delivered.
Given James' poor customer service, Chace sued to get his money back and compensation for other damages. However, the "Monster Garage" alum shared a different narrative about what transpired between them, accusing the plaintiff of being the problem.
James claimed he constantly communicated with Chace throughout their deal and did not cheat him out of his money. Instead, he explained that the gun had been completed, but the customer refused to pay the final bill of $90,000.

The West Coast Choppers founder believed Chace's lawsuit was his way of backing out of their agreement and trying to escape paying what he owed. However, he had no plans on letting him run, given the stress he underwent to create the custom firearm.
James claimed it took nearly a year to build the parts for the gun and more time to complete the project. He noted the custom piece was worth about $250,000, but he gave Chace a discounted price. Despite his generosity, the latter sued him for a refund.
This wasn't the first time James has been named in a lawsuit, as a former employee slammed him for her injuries while sitting his aggressive dogs. The Blast reported that the plaintiff, Karen Sanchez-Roberts, blamed him for his pets attacking her and causing grave injuries.
The Media Personality Accused Of Delaying A Dog Attack Lawsuit

Last month, James made waves for allegedly delaying the dog attack lawsuit by refusing to agree to a videotaped deposition. The plaintiff's legal team filed a motion, imploring the court to order him to be deposed, noting:
"Plaintiff's counsel offered to sign an agreement that the deposition video would not be used outside the litigation, but defendants still refused to allow the video deposition."
"There is no principled reason why Defendants would allow Mr. James to sit for deposition without a protective order in place but object solely to its taping," the attorneys argued. The drama stemmed from a 2023 incident, where the alleged victim claimed she was bitten by James' dogs while trying to stop them from fighting.

Days earlier, The Blast shared that James had filed a temporary restraining order against his estranged wife. He asked the court to keep Bonnie 100 feet from him and their son Bishop until a child custody hearing was arranged.
James claimed he needed the protective order because of the years-long abuse he endured at Bonnie's hands. He alleged that multiple violent attacks occurred throughout their union, including when Bonnie was pregnant with their son.
However, she accused him of being the primary abuser in her temporary restraining order filing. Bonnie claimed he was physically abusive throughout their union, going as far as punching her in the throat on one occasion.
It was unclear if Bonnie Rotten shared these violence claims in her previous divorce filings. However, she accused Jesse James of infidelity when she filed to end their marriage in 2022.
