Last month, Reese made a controversial statement about her WNBA income during an Instagram live.

"I just hope y'all know, the WNBA don't pay my bills at all," Reese shared, per People. "I don't even think it pays one of my bills, literally."

The 22-year-old went on to share that she spends $8,000 a month on rent and, after calculating her expenses, jokingly admitted to "living beyond her means."

Reese reportedly earned $73,439 in her rookie season, and with her monthly rent set at $8,000, she would need to pay $96,000.

Luckily, the WNBA star has quite a number of endorsements to fund her lifestyle. This includes deals with Hershey's Reese's Pieces, Reebok, Beats by Dre, and Good American. She is also expected to earn a six-figure salary from Unrivaled, the 3-on-3 women's basketball league that begins in January.

"He's super inspiring to me," she said of O'Neal. "He's so genuine, he's been there for me through tough times. He just gets it, and there's not a more perfect person for me to be tight with."

Reese added, "We had fun, and if I need anything, he would help me … and he would do that even if I never played basketball again. He doesn't care about me as a player. He cares about me as a person."
