The happy couple shared the exciting news with a series of photos depicting the moment the professional skateboarder popped the question.

Dobrev stunned fans on Instagram with the news of her engagement to White. The pair who have been dating for over four years now, released several photos showing off the moment White asked the actress to marry him.
The "TVD" star captioned the post, "RIP boyfriend, hello fiancé," along with a ring and infinity emoji.
Dobrev and White have reportedly always been serious about their relationship, with a source once revealing that the couple was prepared to go the distance and get married.
"Nina has had a lot of relationships not work out in the past, but ever since meeting Shaun, you can tell she's just really excited about how far this relationship has come," the insider told Us Weekly. "They're gradually taking steps to starting a future together."
How Shaun White Surprised Nina Dobrev With The Proposal
The lovebirds reportedly got engaged in New York City, with White popping the question with a 5-carat diamond ring at the Golden Swan restaurant.
"I went into shock," Dobrev told VogueMagazine of the beautiful moment. "I just froze and stared at him."
The couple were then joined by their loved ones and marked the occasion by enjoying caviar and champagne and feasting on Shake Shack and dumplings which they ordered to the restaurant.
According to the publication, White planned the whole proposal in a way that would take Dobrev completely by surprise.
The snowboarder reportedly had his publicist send a fake invitation to the actress. The invitation was for an intimate CFDA/Vogue dinner with Anna Wintour.
When Dobrev arrived at the locations, the only person she saw there was White and a photographer.

Shaun White Once Revealed The Secret To Their Successful Romance
In another chat with Us Weekly, White opened up about his romance with Dobrev and how they managed to keep the fire burning in a long-distance relationship.
"We have a nice little system of how to stay in touch," he said in 2021. "Plane tickets are pretty much booked for any opportunity that we can go see one another."
The skateboarder continued, "So, I know during the holiday break, we're going to meet up, and we're going to meet up again probably around Christmas time. Anything that happens in between, then I'll jet over and see her. You just make it work."
White added, "I think that's the goal of it all, and the key to it all is just making the time. [Nina's] super organized and on top of it, so I give it to her. She always finds a way to make it happen."
Nina Dobrev Is Very Supportive Of Shaun White's Career
During his preparation for the 2022 Winter Olympics, White talked about how supportive Dobrev was of his career.
The snowboarder noted, "She's like, 'Hey, I'm here to help you … how do I help you?' It's not about her. She's just been so giving in that sense," adding that Dobrev has "this overwhelming kindness and care for people" around her.
"She wants to elevate the people around her," he continued. "It's such a beautiful thing, especially in today's world. To have that kind of a caring quality still is really special."
Earlier this year, Dobrev opened up about seeing her boyfriend accomplish his dreams in the Olympics.
"We'll be anxiously watching from home and cheering him on. I'm very, very excited for him. I can't wait," she told Us Weekly about White's incredible career. "He's had such an incredibly long and amazing, successful run of the sport. He knows when the time is to throw the hat in, and he's decided that it's now."
