Jaime King's ex-husband, Kyle Newman, continues to push his plea for sole custody of his children. The filmmaker revealed that their kids had been scarred from living with her, so much that they confided in the school therapist for help.
Jaime King and Kyle Newman have been embroiled in their bitter divorce since she made the move in 2020.
Jaime King's Ex-Husband Says She Was 'Strung Out' With Kids In Her Care
In his filing on October 17, Newman noted that he received a call from the kids during their stay at King's house, crying and begging him to come pick them up.
Upon his arrival around 7:45 am, the actor noted that he found King sitting on the floor wearing a navy blue and white varsity, her hair was in pigtails, and she appeared to not be wearing any pants (or maybe had short shorts on). There were two men there."
He explained that she looked distressed and exhausted from getting drunk as she beckoned him to help her get up. King reportedly told Newman, "Those are bad boys. We have to do something about our boys. Their behavior is not right."
Newman continued that after the encounter that morning, he took their kids to school, where one of the boys reported their mom to the school therapist. According to In Touch, Newman shared that the therapist had previously called DCFS on King, but to no avail.
King's New Boyfriend Was Also Worried About The Model's Behavior
Newman noted that her boyfriend Tony also texted him to share his worries about the actress having the kids around her.
The actor declared that the boys backed up Tony's story by telling him she had been partying late with her friends. On one occasion, the kids tried to call him, and King grabbed the phone from their hands.
King reportedly told their son, "Every single word you've said since you were born is dangerous." He claimed she also said, "Everyone in the world will die because of you … especially you."
The Actress Also Allegedly Smokes Cigarettes In Front Of The Kids
The boys also confided in their dad that Jamie and her friends frequently smoke inside the house with the doors and windows closed with them indoors.
"The children repeatedly ask her not to and mention the dangers they read about smoking on the American Cancer Society site." he shared, noting the efforts of the children towards helping their mother.
He recalled that back in June, the kids opened the door for fresh air and she blew the smoke in both the kids' faces. She allegedly trashed the boys' concerns, stating that the website is propaganda, and laughed and continued to smoke inside the house near them and closed the door.
The Filmmaker Claimed The Kids' Safety Is In Risk Of Jeopardy Without Legal Protection
The Blast shared that Newman petitioned the Los Angeles Superior Court last Wednesday to grant a restraining order against his ex-wife to stop her from coming near him and the children.
He also moved to take sole custody of the boys, adding that she stays away from his home, workplace, and the kid's school. The 49-year-old shared:
"The children are currently in danger when in their mother's care. Jaime King is suffering from drug and alcohol addiction and is emotionally abusing and neglecting our children, placing them in danger and exposing them to many disturbing people and situations, including sexual content."
Newman stated that the court should order the TV personality to take a test proving her system is clear of drugs and alcohol.
Jaime King And Kyle Newman Finalized Their Divorce In May
The estranged couple signed the final dotted lines on their marriage termination papers in May 2024, with Judge Joshua D. Wayser officially granted the dissolution.
King was reportedly absent during the dissolution hearing. Neither was her phone reachable nor were calls made on her behalf. The termination documents showed that she did not take any action to oppose Newman's motion for entry of judgment on April 18, 2024.
However, she filed multiple exparte applications later, claiming she signed the marital settlement under duress. For the settlement, King was ordered to pay $1000 in spousal support until Newman's death or remarriage in addition to $429 in child support.
As for their properties, the mother of two would retain ownership of the businesses, assets, and bank accounts in her name. Meanwhile, Newman got to keep the $300,000 made from selling their former home.
