Julia Roberts has appealed to the partners of male Donald Trump supporters to vote for Kamala Harris.
The Hollywood star recently featured as a narrator in a voters education YouTube video directed at helping Evangelical voters who typically vote Republican switch allegiance to Harris' party.
In the build-up to the U.S. election, Roberts has been publicly campaigning for the female vice president.
Julia Roberts is also a lifelong Democrat who previously supported Joe Biden and Barrack Obama during their presidential run.
Julia Roberts Urges Wives To Vote Their Own Way
Roberts has ramped up her support for Harris by lending her voice to a new campaign video sponsored by the progressive evangelical group Vote Common Good.
The 30-second clip opened with a husband and wife, seemingly Trump supporters, heading to a voting booth.
The man voted and then turned to his wife to do the same. However, when she approached the booth, she exchanged a knowing smile with a female friend voting across from her, subtly hinting they were both voting for Harris.
During the scene, Roberts' voice played in the background, saying, "In the one place in America where women still have a right to choose, you can vote any way you want, and no one will ever know."
After the women gave their votes, a man who seemed to be the one seen initially asked his wife, "Did you make the right choice?" She responded, "Sure did, honey," before sharing another knowing smile with her friend.
Roberts' voice then chimed in with a playful remark, "What happens in the booth stays in the booth," followed by an appeal to voters to support Harris and her vice presidential candidate, Tim Walz.
Julia Roberts Gave A Speech At A Democrat Rally
Earlier this month, Roberts was among the speakers at a rally for Harris and Walz in Canton, Georgia. She stressed the importance of the election and urged everyone to ensure their friends and family are registered to vote.
"I believe in Georgia," said the actress who hails from the state, per The Express. "I wouldn't have come home if I didn't believe that we can accomplish really beautiful goals that will extend beyond our state's borders."
She continued, "I just hope that all the women here tonight talk to all the men that aren't here tonight. And all you brave men who are here tonight, talk to all the other men who aren't here tonight."
At the event, Roberts also revealed that her 19-year-old twins, Hazel and Phinnaeus, intend to vote for Harris and Walz as first-time voters.
The Actress Faced Backlash For Supporting Kamala Harris And Tim Walz
Since publicly displaying her support for Harris and Walz, the actress has faced much backlash from Trumpers.
One user wrote, "Actors should just stick to acting. Nobody cares what their political position is."
Another commented, "Liberalism has rotted her brain and turned her into crazy-eyed loony liberal. Her career is dying along with her soul."
A third user said, "Used to like her and make sure to see her movies. Won't be doing that anymore ever again," while a fourth remarked, "Another compromised Hollywood actor doing what they are told."
One more person mentioned, "Julia Roberts is a homegrown Georgia girl, and I always loved her. If she believes in the principles of the Left, nothing could be more sad."
Julia Roberts Endorsed Kamala Harris Back In September
In September, Roberts officially endorsed Harris to win the presidential election, which will be held on November 5.
The actress made her feelings known during Oprah Winfrey's Unite For America livestream, just as the TV personality was interviewing Harris, per The News.
She said, "I'm a mother of two kids this is their first chance to vote in an election and I couldn't be more excited for them to have the legacy to say that their first vote they ever cast for president was for you.
She added, "I have just chills saying that out loud. I wish we were all going together in fact you know they are in college so um we will be separated um on the great day but uh but in spirit united always for what we believe."
Other Stars Have Endorsed Kamala Harris And Donald Trump
Julia Roberts is not the only Hollywood star to throw her weight behind one of the presidential candidates ahead of the upcoming election.
Other stars, such as George Clooney, Katy Perry, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, John Legend, Taylor Swift, Kelly Rowland, and more, have shown their support for Vice President Harris.
