Jason Kelce Claims He Did Not Fall Asleep While Seeing Taylor Swift In Concert

NFL star Jason Kelce surely knows the right time to count some sheep. Contrary to popular belief, it was not while he and his family went to see his brother's significant other, Taylor Swift, live in concert!

The former Philadelphia Eagle was spotted getting comfortable while seeing Swift's 'Eras Tour' in Miami. Kelce and his wife, Kylie, took their daughters to see the "You're On Your Own Kid" songstress take the stage after a brief hiatus. Swift is now embarking on the tour's final leg, which was announced nearly two years ago.

Fans and 'Swifties' online spotted Kelce appearing to be asleep at one point. Kelce's former teammate, Beau Allen, captured the sleepy dad sitting upright in a chair with his eyes closed.

Allen posted the snapshot on his X account and included some lyrics from one of the pop star's most well-known bops of recent years, "Anti-Hero."

Now, the NFL commentator is setting the record straight about his sleepy moment, revealing what really happened to his fans and those Swifties who couldn't understand why he appeared to be asleep so quickly after the concert began.

The eldest Kelce brother was the only person looking like they were in need of some shut-eye in Allen's photo. Mrs. Kelce appears wide awake, presumably watching Swift perform.

Fans took to Allen's post and weighed in.

"PLEASE JASON WE’RE LIKE 40 MINS IN," a fan lamented.

"Them Kelce boys really can sleep anywhere," another remarked.

"Who the h-ll could fall asleep at a Taylor Swift concert with everyone screaming and singing??? Seriously, Jason forgot he promised each of his daughters a new kitten... (That will teach him something for falling asleep.)," a fan exclaimed.

"Vibing" is the new snoring!

The Kelce brothers took to their podcast to discuss the viral moment. Travis teased his brother, calling the performance "electric," and chastizing him for appearing to sleep through it.

Jason denied the rumors that he was sleeping through the show and opted to give viewers a bit of background on the night. He also revealed that he had texted his little brother with praise for his girlfriend's showmanship!

Getting to the bottom of the viral photo, Kelce explained the backstory of his hectic night to his little brother.

He revealed that the family had tried to secure an enclosed space where their guests could enjoy the show - it was also Donna's first show - but they had accidentally secured a different space out in the open.

Kelce also shared there was evidence that he was awake. If one were to look at his hand in the photo, one would see that it was hovering over his leg. "You can't sleep with your hand hovering above your knee," he exclaimed.

"I'm not Major Payne," he added. "I can’t sleep with my eyes open, much less with my hand hovering above my knee."

"I was slapping my knee," he emphasized.

Kelce also commented "the evidence speaks for itself, your honor" on the "New Heights" Instagram reel from the episode, featuring his description of the moment.

Earlier this month, the former football star incorporated a bit of Swift-y vibes into his commentary for a Kansas City Chiefs game.

Eyes were on this particular match against the New Orleans Saints because the "Karma" singer had not been seen attending her man's football games for a bit. The whispers that the couple had privately broken up had begun going around, but were squashed when Swift arrived for the game at Arrowhead Stadium.

Kelce paused for a second to watch his brother's lady make her entrance, a move that delighted online Swifties!

Kelce may be an NFL commentator since his retirement from playing on the field, but his "New Heights" podcast has allowed him to try a new endeavor: being an amateur movie critic!

The brothers recently reviewed the first film in the "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" series; the first film marked the film debut of the Kelce's mutual friend, Blake Lively.

After revealing their notes on the 2005 film - Jason described Lively's performance as being "wonderful" -  Lively herself chimed into the conversation and praised Kelce's "natural investigative journalist" skills.
