Travis Kelce Reveals His Favorite Qualities In A Certain 'Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants' Character

Football legends Travisand Jason Kelce are bringing big cinematic vibes to their podcast party!

The duo is known for bringing magic to the football field, but this week, on their podcast "New Heights," the brothers brought their inner film critics to the forefront.

Fans recently voted for the Kelce brothers to watch the early aughts teen film, "Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants" (2005). The film was the first of two movie adaptations of the young adult book series by Ann Brashares, and stars a number of popular culture staples! "Gilmore Girls" star Alexis Bledel, future Oscar nominee America Ferrera, writer and activist Amber Tamblyn join then-newbie Blake Lively as the film's 'sisters.'

Lively happens to be a fixture in Travis' personal life because of her friendship with his girlfriend, pop icon Taylor Swift! The film pick hit a little close to home, but Kelce still brought an unbiased opinion to listeners.

"New Heights" listeners learned earlier this week how much the Kansas City Chiefs tight end enjoys dining out with Swift on their rare evenings together. The youngest Kelce brother also recently revealed how much he enjoys watching a good flick!

His film choices sometimes have criteria: it's cool with Kelce if the film happens to star one of his gal's friends. He and his brother recently put the job to the test by watching Lively on the small screen.

The "It Ends With Us" star played Bridget in the 'Sisterhood' series. Having recently lost her mom, the free-spirited Bridget finds her identity at a soccer camp for a Summer.

Kelce expressed his excitement for the viewers' film choice during a recent episode of "New Heights."

"Dude, you're going to love this movie," Travis told Jason, after playfully chastising him for butchering the title.

Jason was initially a bit more reserved; he joked about 'Swifties' having an influence over the final vote. His brother's reluctance seemed not to influence Travis. He later responded, "...It has Blake Lively in it and she's cool." He also added, "I like watching films with people I've met and know."

The football brothers watched and reviewed "The Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants" on Wednesday's episode of "New Heights," per People, and "Killatrav" revealed a character and her corresponding storyline that he enjoyed!

"I thought Bridget's (Lively) story was the most relatable and fun," Kelce said after joking about the biased nature of his pick. He also stuck up for Bridget's athletic endurance after his brother got a little critical.

"...It was impressive," Kelce said. "She has good endurance though because to be running like that and to be talking? I would be f---ing gassed and would be way worse at trying to spit my lines out," he said.

Lively lit up the big screen during the Summer of 2024 as she portrayed the main character in "It Ends With Us," the film adaptation to Colleen Hoover's blockbuster novel.

There is no official word regarding a possible sequel to the film being in the works, but actor Brandon Sklenar is seemingly all for the idea. Sklenar played Lively's character's closest childhood friend and first love.

"Your guess is as good as mine at this point. I would love to do it, I really would, I would love to do it," the actor admitted, during an Access interview earlier this Summer.

"I hope we can get it together because I think the fans deserve it, and I'd just love to tell more of Atlas' story and get into his past a little more. Yeah, it would be beautiful if we can do it. I would love to," Sklenar continued, as previously reported by The Blast.

A possible sequel, of which there have not been any official discussions, would potentially focus on the 2022 sequel to "It Ends With Us" called "It Starts With Us."

'Tayvis,' the affectionate name given by fans for Kelce and Swift's relationship, recently enjoyed a night together watching the Yankees in the Bronx.

The couple enjoyed their mutual time off by affectionately taking in the Yankees' game against the Cleveland Guardians.

Cameras also caught 'Tayvis' in the stands while the "State of Grace" singer fed her man some popcorn to keep him good and full!
