LiLo And Her On-Screen Mom Are Headed Back To The Past

"Freakier Friday" has been on fans' radar for a long time!

Lohan and her movie mama had begun teasing viewers with photos as early as last summer. Curtis delighted her Insta-followers in late June when she shared a snap of her and Lohan sitting on the steps of their trailers.

Mama Tess wasn't so delighted with the paparazzi when they managed to sneak a shot of the two actresses hard at work filming.

Curtis got ahead of the game and shared a pic of her embracing Lohan while the characters are seen enjoying some time together at the beach. She addressed the "intrusion" of the paparazzi interfering with "the creative process of filmmaking," as previously reported by The Blast.

"But it does show the joy and fun we had making 'Freakier Friday,''' the actress concluded in her caption.

The legacy of "Mean Girls" continues two decades after the film's release with a musical-themed homage starring Renée Rapp, also involving Meadows and Tina Fey

Lohan was incredibly unhappy with a joke referencing the infamous "fire crotch" internet video sensation involving Brandon Davis. In an early viral internet video, Davis refers to Lohan as a "fire crotch girl" back in 2006. Davis later apologized for the joke, saying he was "horrified at the words that came out of [his] mouth."

The original "Mean Girls" star was not having it when a joke referencing the moment made it into the film. Lohan was not aware of the joke when filming her cameo in the movie.

Lohan's representative released a statement saying, "Lindsay was very hurt and disappointed by the reference in the film."

Lindsay Lohan Loved To Watch Her Son On Camera While At Work

Lohan gave birth to son, Luai, last summer and settled into motherhood quite well. Curtis revealed the actress is one of those moms who love keeping an eye on their kiddos while at work.

Curtis recalled in an interview with Variety, "She’s at that point where toddlers hold onto things, then they wobble, then they go down. She’s at work, and she’s watching on her phone,” the "Halloween" alumna said of Lohan.

"She’s watching videos on livestream with the baby in between scenes. She’s watching her child start toddling, and it’s just very sweet. She’s great. She’s very happy. We’re having a really, really, really fun time."
