Piers Morgan apologizes on his talk show "Uncensored" after guest Jaguar Wright made explosive allegations about power couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé being worse than Sean "Diddy" Combs.
Morgan and Wright were talking about Sean "Diddy" Combs' arrest and his indictment before the "I Can't Wait" singer said that Jay-Z and Beyoncé have hundreds of victims.
Piers Morgan has now noted that the original interview has been edited to remove the part in which Jaguar Wright made the controversial claims about Jay-Z and Beyoncé.
Piers Morgan Says Jaguar Wright's Diddy Comments About Beyoncé & Jay-Z Are 'False'
The former CNN news anchor has apologized after his talk show "Uncensored" aired "totally false" claims made by singer Wright against Jay-Z and Beyoncé.
The issue stems from Morgan's interview with Wright, where they were talking about Diddy's arrest before the 47-year-old singer referred to the Carters as a "nasty little couple" and alleged that they have hundreds of victims.
She also claimed that the couple is "worse than Diddy" and are "monsters."
On the Tuesday episode of his show, he began by stating that he received a letter from the couple in which they refuted the claims. He apologized, noting that Jay-Z and Beyonce's lawyers reached out to him.
"Jaguar, unexpectedly, made several serious allegations about Jay-Z and Beyoncé during that interview," Morgan stated. "As I said in the moment, they were not present to respond or defend themselves, but now they have. Their lawyers contacted us to say that those claims were 'totally false' and have no basis in fact, and we've therefore complied with a legal request to cut them from the original interview."

Morgan further noted that his editors have taken out the parts of Wright's interview where she made questionable remarks about Jay-Z and Beyoncé in relation to Diddy's arrest.
He said, "Editing interviews is not something we do lightly at a show called 'Uncensored,' but like the proverbial cries of fire in a crowded theater, there are legal limits on us, too. And we apologize to Jay-Z and Beyoncé."
Morgan added, "The thing about platforms, the reality of the modern world is that pretty much everyone has a platform as long as they have something to say that other people want to hear. That's why we invited [Wright] on to be interviewed. The people making these claims have an audience with or without shows like mine."
Piers Morgan's Decision To Apologize Has Raised Eyebrows
Varied reactions have followed Morgan's retraction of Wright's claims. Some fans took to social media to question why the couple sent a cease-and-desist order to the talk show host but have yet to sue Wright for "defamation."
Others slammed Morgan for giving a platform to Wright, who is known for making controversial remarks about Diddy and Jay-Z.
A fan wrote, "Yep he thought he could run his mouth like he did on Meghan and get away with it. I pray Jay Z and Beyonce keep their boots on his neck!"
Rapper Meek Mill also reacted to the news on X, writing, "F-ck is going on a silent war…"
In another post, he questioned why people would even listen to Wright, saying, "Jaguar Wright is like quilly speaking for Philly … and why do these people have more of a voice then the thoroughbred people!"
A lawyer on X said, "Lawyer here: a lot of these takes on Jaguar Wright's claims re Beyonce and Jay-Z are wrong. Piers Morgan may be a provocateur, but he's also a trained journalist and doesn't want to get sued. Jaguar herself will not be sued, because she has no money, but the people that publish..
Diddy's Relationship With A-List Stars Is Under Scrutiny
According to Page Six, Diddy's legal troubles have left several industry bigwigs restless, as they fear they might be dragged into the case.
"Many people at the highest level, including artists, executives, managers, and others, are not sleeping well right now," top entertainment lawyer and litigator Bryan Freedman told the news outlet. "Those who have knowingly allowed and/or encouraged the behavior while remaining silent should be concerned."
Freedman noted that he "represents a number of people who have been concerned about being wrongfully mentioned or rumored to be a part of this just by an association unrelated to any wrongdoing."
He added, "They don't want to be part of some rumor mill because they have some tangential connection to Combs."
A-List Stars Are Secretly Settling With Victims Amid Diddy's Arrest
According to TMZ, Buzbee recently disclosed that some of the said celebrities have opted to settle out of court and have started paying off victims to keep their names out of the case.
"In every single case, especially cases like this … because it's in the best interests of the victim, we attempt to resolve these matters without the filing of a public lawsuit, and we've done that already with a handful of individuals, many of which you've heard of before," Buzbee said.
In his recent appearance on Law & Crime Network, Buzbee said that he has "no doubt" that a number of Diddy's celebrity associates are "scrubbing their social media" to "distance themselves" from him.
"I have no doubt that there are people right now who know that they were somehow involved in this – who are now scrubbing their social media, who are searching their memories, who are deleting their texts, probably deleting pictures and trying to distance themselves from this," Buzbee said.
"And we know who they are, or we will find out who they are," he added. "This is not something that's going to happen overnight, but I think we're at the tip of the iceberg here."
