Garth Brooks Reveals His Sexual Assault Accuser Believed He Hired A Hitman

The drama surrounding Garth Brooks’ sexual assault case continues, with claims of a plot to silence the alleged victim.

The country music icon’s image recently took a beating after his former hairstylist accused him of rape and inappropriate behavior. However, new reports reveal Brooks attempted to stop the lawsuit from being filed.

According to legal documents, Garth Brooks was the anonymous celebrity who went viral for filing a complaint against a sexual assault accuser. He moved to shut down the alleged victim’s public lawsuit over extortion claims and more.

Brooks filed his complaint against his former employee in September under the pseudonym John Doe. He implored a federal court judge to stop the hairstylist from being allowed to sue him with “false allegations.”

According to Brooks, the woman caused him “emotional distress including anxiety and fear for himself and his family” with her threats to “wrongfully assassinate” his character “through the public airing of such revulsive and untrue allegations.”

The “If Tomorrow Never Comes” singer recalled receiving a letter from his ex-employee’s attorney on July 17, which accused him of a “litany of sexual misconduct,” including allegations of sexual “grooming” and sexual assault.

The shocking allegations continued with an assassination plot. The woman allegedly believed the singer “planned to hire someone to murder her,” the complaint obtained by In Touch noted, stressing it was the first time Brooks heard such claims.

Brooks’ complaint repeatedly stressed his innocence in the matter while bashing the alleged victim as a liar and extortionist. He claimed the letter he received housed demands for money, with his claims reading:

“[Jane] threatened in the July 17 demand letter to ‘publicly file’ an enclosed draft civil complaint against [Garth] repeating the same fabricated allegations unless [Garth] agreed to pay [Jane] millions of dollars not to file the suit.”

“The letter referred to various celebrity sexual misconduct lawsuits featuring multi-million dollar jury awards,” the complaint continued. Brooks, per his narrative, had a good working relationship with his ex-employee for fifteen years.

However, things changed when she relocated from Tennessee to Mississippi in May 2020. The woman allegedly experienced financial difficulties and received relief from Brooks after contacting him, but she wanted more than he had to offer.

In his complaint, Brooks noted that he accepted his former hairstylist's request for financial aid "out of loyalty, friendship, and a desire to improve [Jane's] condition." The document continued:

"But [Jane's] demands for financial assistance only increased, with [Jane's] ultimately asking [Garth] for salaried employment and medical benefits."

When Brooks rejected her demands for salaried employment and medical benefits, "she responded with false and outrageous allegations of sexual misconduct she claims occurred years ago."

The singer's former employee eventually filed her sexual assault lawsuit weeks after his complaint. Brooks responded to her legal filing in a public statement, denying the claims and vowing to clear his name.

In his statement, Brooks claimed he had been "hassled to no end with threats, lies and tragic tales of what my future would be if I did not write a check for many millions of dollars." He alleged the harassment went on for the last two months, adding:

"It has been like having a loaded gun waved in my face. Hush money, no matter how much or how little, is still hush money. In my mind, that means I am admitting to behavior I am incapable of."

"Ugly acts no human should ever do to another. We filed suit against this person nearly a month ago to speak out against extortion and defamation of character. We filed it anonymously for the sake of families on both sides," Brooks continued.

Garth ended his statement by explaining, "I want to play music tonight. I want to continue our good deeds going forward. It breaks my heart these wonderful things are in question now. I trust the system, I do not fear the truth, and I am not the man they have painted me to be."

Days earlier, The Blast reported that Brooks had returned to the Las Vegas stage amid the sexual assault lawsuit. He shared a picture of himself performing before a sea of cheering fans and captioned it:

“If there was ever a night that I really needed this, TONIGHT was that night! Thank you for my life!!!!! Love, g.”

Brooks’ words showed his commitment to fans and how being on stage was the best place for him despite the scathing allegations. His former employee accused him of raping her in a hotel room in 2019 and being sexually inappropriate on multiple occasions.
